The reduction in Prince Harry's security remains an important issue and one that will be much talked about in the coming months, as the Duke of Sussex continues to fight a legal battle against the UK government over the decision taken in 2020 to reduce security for him and his family.

The incredible thing about the matter that could take an unthinkable turn is that his legal team could use an example linked to show business to set a precedent and question how these types of decisions are made in favor of people outside the royal or government sphere in their country.

Prince Harry's lawyers are seriously considering using the case of singer Taylor Swift and the allocation of police guards last August when she was in the UK as part of her The Eras Tour with the background of terrorist threats days earlier in Austria.

The legal team hopes this example could help Harry's case and overturn the legal decision that leaves him unprotected, as he was stripped of the automatic right to security that by the very fact of being part of the Royal Family, he and his family have.

Harry's request could be resolved in the summer of 2025

Harry and his wife Meghan Markle are no longer active members of the royal family, however, the prince's legal petition seeks to "ensure the safety of himself and his family while in the UK so that his children can know their home country, and work with their charities without any fear," a source told People magazine.

The case is currently in the courts and has been for almost five years, during which time Harry has already lost once, so he filed an appeal which will be resolved by the summer of 2025 at the latest.
