Princess Charlotte proved she is growing up fast when she joined the royals for their annual Christmas Day outing.
The nine-year-old co-ordinated with her mum, the Princess of Wales, by wearing a stylish tartan jacket that complimented Kate's forest green coat by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen. On closer inspection, it seems that Charlotte also wore a dainty necklace just above the collar of her coat.
And it has emerged that the necklace has a very impressive price tag - and even has a link to her uncle Prince Harry, who is estranged from his brother and Charlotte's dad, Prince William.

Chelsey was in an on-off relationship with Harry for many years. They eventually split permanently in 2011, with Harry later marrying Meghan Markle and having two kids with the actress. Chelsey attended their wedding in Windsor.
Harry and Chelsy first met when she was studying at Cheltenham College before getting together on the Prince's gap year in Cape Town in 2004. Chelsea previously described the attention surrounding their relationship as "nuts". During their time together, Chelsy was pictured several times with Kate as the two women were often seen cheering on their partners when they took to the polo pitch.
In his memoir Spare, Harry talked fondly of his ex, saying: "Unlike so many people I knew, she seemed wholly unconcerned with appearances, with propriety, with royalty. Unlike so many girls I met, she wasn’t visibly fitting herself for a crown the moment she shook my hand.
"She seemed immune to that common affliction sometimes called throne syndrome. I’d always wanted to know what it might be like to meet a woman and not have her eyes widen at the mention of my title but instead to widen them myself, using my mind, my heart."
Royal biographer Robert Lacey explains in his book Battle of Brothers that shortly after William and Kate's wedding, Chelsy finally ended their long romance. He writes: "In 2011, after more comings and goings, she finally decided to go - and it was, ironically, Kate and William's grand and glorious wedding that spring that did it for her.

According to a friend, she told Harry that she could never make the scarifies she had witnessed Kate making, particularly when it came to moulding her life around the unremitting attention of the press." After the split with Harry, Chelsy, who is now a mum-of-two, went on to marry Sam Cutmore-Scott and has ditched her previous law career and now runs her jewellery company, Aya.
Its website says: "Aya was founded by Chelsy Davy, a lawyer turned gemologist with a love for jewellery and a fascination for gemstones. Chelsy studied gemology, gaining a diploma from the Gemological Institute of America, the world's foremost authority on diamonds and coloured gemstones."
