Princess Diana's brother's new lover is allegedly embroiled in a lawsuit with his former wife according to new reports.

Earl Spencer, started dating archaeologist Professor Cat Jarman after his split from Countess Karen Spencer this year. Prof Jarman claims that Charles' ex-wife has been spreading intimate secrets about her which has led to "distress and embarrassment".

The younger brother of the late Princess of Wales has found himself entangled in this unusual legal battle, just weeks after the public announcement of his romance with Prof Jarman. Earl Spencer, 60, announced his divorce from the Countess in March, concluding their 13-year marriage.

According to reports, the two women are now gearing up for a potent confrontation in High Court over the disclosure of sensitive details. Dr. Jarman accuses Lady Spencer of distributing confidential aspects of her life to an extensive circle, the Mirror reports.

Co-hosting a podcast with Earl Spencer, Dr. Jarman had formed a connection with him amid an excavation at his vast Althorp Estate in Northamptonshire - the final resting place of Princess Diana - where they searched for a vanished medieval village.

Dr. Jarman’s grievances centre on the claim that Lady Spencer's alleged indiscretions in May have caused her considerable "distress, upset and embarrassment". Dr. Jarman, who has been honoured as Nordic Person of the Year 2024 in Scandinavia, vehemently contends with the repercussions of the asserted breach of her privacy.

Court documents are believed to read: "Dr Jarman was unaware until around mid-May that the Countess had even obtained the private information. She only found out after the Countess had disclosed the information to Earl Spencer - the revelation of which was shocking to her.

"Dr Jarman did not, at any time, provide her consent to the Countess to disclose that information to any third party or intimate anything to that effect. This lack of consent should have been obvious to the Countess given the nature of the private information and the circumstances in which it was imparted."

It is reported Dr Jarman is seeking damages, an injunction to prevent Lady Spencer from disclosing to others, and a detailed list of everyone who has already been informed, which allegedly includes her personal trainer.
