Rangers footballer Ben Davies has proposed to his girlfriend, who gleefully showcased her dazzling engagement ring on social media.
Abbie Colvin, the defender's partner, took to Instagram on Wednesday to announce that the 29-year-old Gers star had asked for her hand in marriage – and she said yes.
In a heartfelt post tagging Ben, she exclaimed to her followers: "The love of my whole life asked me to marry him."
She also posted an image of the stunning ring with which the sportsman popped the question, reports Glasgow Live.
The couple's friends and admirers quickly bombarded them with celebratory messages.
Former Rangers player Ryan Jack wrote: "Congratulations."
While another gushed: "Omg, I couldn't be happier for you both. Congratulations."
A third shared their excitement saying: "So exciting."

Ben is currently on loan to Birmingham City. The centre-back joined the English side on loan in August this year.
