Raven-Symoné recalled having her first breast reduction when she was just 15 years old.
While speaking on her podcast “Tea Time with Raven & Miranda,” which she co-hosts with wife Miranda Pearman-Maday, the Disney alum shared that she was pushed to get the procedure by adults in her life who pressured her over her appearance.
“I had my first breast reduction at 15,” she said during the Dec. 5 episode. “I went from a triple D all the way down to a B,” noting that “someone said I needed to do it in order to get a show.”
Symoné, who starred in Disney Channel’s “That’s So Raven” from 2003 to 2007, shared that the breast reduction led to her getting liposuction as well after she faced criticism over her weight.
“At the same time I was like, ‘If you’re gonna take my boobs out, I want a lipo,’” she continued.
The singer then opened up about being lusted over her appearance by young male viewers who watched “That’s So Raven.”
“I felt like boys watched the show because I had big boobs,” Symoné said. “I feel like that was the case. They came for the boobs and stayed for the comedy.”
The comedian, now 38, says she’s embraced more body positivity as she’s gotten older, adding, “There’s this beautiful embracing of the body now that I didn’t get as a young girl.”
Elsewhere in the episode, the former “Cheetah Girls” band member got candid about suffering an “anchor scar” due to her breast reduction surgeries.
“When you have a breast reduction, underneath the areola they make a little incision, and they come down straight underneath the boob and, like, filet you from the bottom, and it looks like an anchor,” she explained.

“The Cosby Show” alum added, “Yeah, it’s different because when you gain weight those boobs come back no matter what. They come right back.”
Symoné previously revealed last year that she suffered health complications from undergoing multiple cosmetic procedures as a minor.
“That first [procedure] I had, I actually had a seizure when I woke up from the surgery. And I remember waking up and seeing everything ... and then I just started to have this dry mouth and couldn’t breathe, and then I went back under and they were like, ‘Oh yeah, you had a seizure,’” she said during an August 2023 episode of “The Best Podcast Ever with Raven and Miranda.”
