Rebekah Vardy's pal in huge U-turn as she supports Coleen Rooney on I'm A Celeb

Rebekah Vardy's pal Nicola McLean has thrown her support behind Coleen Rooney during her stint on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Here!

Nicola reckons Coleen could still nab the crown despite saying she "hasn't had" much screen time, possibly because she's not "as loud as some of the others" in camp. The ex-jungle star, who was in the 2008 series, reckons Coleen's time in the jungle might spark a career revival post-Wagatha Christie drama.

Chatting to Closer Magazine, Nicola said: "I really found myself as a person when I did I'm A Celebrity! I think it's a brilliant show to just reconnect with yourself.

"Coleen's a mum of four, her husband works away, which is not a negative, he works away, she's busy.

"Why not take time out, do the jungle, have a laugh and push yourself and find yourself? " Before Dean McCullough got the boot, Nicola had her bets on him and Maura Higgins for the final but is cheering for Coleen to take the top spot. She even suggested that Rebekah might fancy another jungle jaunt but reckons it's off the cards due to legal ties with Coleen.

Nicola's comments follow her previous criticism of Wayne Rooney's wife for accusing Rebekah of spilling private tales while she was expecting.

Rebekah, who has consistently denied leaking stories to The Sun, ended up losing the subsequent court showdown with Coleen.. Now, she's not holding back about this year’s ‘I’m A Celeb’, slamming her rival unabashedly.

Nicola McLean is good friends with Rebekah Vardy

Speaking to the Sun, Rebekah said: "She likes to be the victim. I'll never forgive her."

She also suggested that the I'm A Celebrity contestant is following in her footsteps by doing the show, claiming she had "always wanted [her] life."

A friend of Jamie Vardy's wife recently shared that her attempt to garner positive attention through her new column has instead resulted in further negativity.

"Rebekah can't believe she is getting so much hate – she had hoped her column would have painted her in a positive way, but it is having the opposite effect," they shared.

Additionally, the mother-of-five has attributed her weight loss to a "stress diet", noting: "It's all been too much with everything going on at the moment."
