Reddit is down again

This morning, at around 7 a.m. PT, the social media platform Reddit experienced yet another outage after experiencing one yesterday afternoon.

According to its status page, Reddit says the platform is still operational. However, thousands of users are currently unable to access its website and app. As of this writing, 51,221 users reported problems on Downdetector.com, up from the 47,000 users who reported problems yesterday.

The outage this time around appears to be due to an HTTP Error. Yesterday, we discovered the first outage when we attempted to visit the homepage, which displayed a black screen with the message: “Upstream connect error or disconnect/reset before headers. Reset reason: connection failure.” On the iOS app, we only saw the dead Snoo head, Reddit’s alien mascot. The problem was solved four hours later.

TechCrunch has reached out to the company for comment.
