Business in the front, party in the back!

Blake Shelton is one of the many names that immediately comes to mind when you think of country music. The Oklahoma native arrived in Nashville in 1994,  when he was only 17 with a dream of making music.

Shelton made his debut in 2001 with the smash-hit single "Austin".

Since bursting onto the country scene, Shelton's hair, for better or worse, has had people in awe, or has left them scratching their head.

The "Come Back as a Country Boy" singer's most notable hairdo was the mullet. The hairstyle has a long history with country music, with a countless number of country superstars proudly sporting the polarizing cut in the '80s and '90s.

Shelton eventually cut his hair, and has been rocking the short messy look for many years now.

Earlier this year, country legend Terri Clark spilled the hilarious reason Shelton ditched the 'do.

Appearing on Taste of Country Nights on Demand, the "Girls Lie Too" singer recalled the time she was at CMA Fest, then Fan Fair, at the fairgrounds, when she ran into the former The Voice judge.

"He was getting out of a car and into a golf cart to go sign. There were a bunch of fans behind him, and all they could see is behind him," she said, before bursting out laughing as she continued the tale.

"They [the fans] were like, 'Terri, hey Terri.' This is really bad for me and really bad for him. Like seriously, people saw me like I look like a football player with a mullet? What the hell, man?" Clark explained, noting that he "immediately cut his hair" after being "mistaken for a chick."

Shelton briefly brought the mullet back in 2020 while quarantining with wife Gwen Stefani due to the coronavirus, and again in 2022 for the "No Body" music video.

Thanks to Reddit, the "God's Country" previous hairstyle made a comeback after a user took the platform, asking: "Remember when Blake Shelton had a mullet?"

In the comments, some users reminisced, while others scoffed about the singer's previous cut that was once-popular with country music's leading men.

"I mean, he and most people at the time considered it that. He still references having a mullet then, after losing it for 15 years and then getting another one to follow the current trends. A mullet doesn't have to have to look like ferret fur, and I wish that the guys who follow this lame fashion trend would realize how silly it is to make mullet parameters," one person wrote.

"Reminds me of the Simpsons episode where Mr. Burns keeps telling Don Mattingly to shave off his sideburns (because he didn't know what sideburns were)," another user said.

"The thing is, he was one of the very few artists who still had that style in the early 2000s. That look was much more of an early 90s-mid 90s thing. By the late 90s and early 2000s, a lot of the male artists started cutting off their long hair. I liked this look on him because it reminded me of how a lot of other male artists looked in older days (Tracy Lawrence, John Anderson, Ken Mellons, etc.)," a third person explained.

"We are all trying to forget the mullet era of life!" a fourth person chimed in.

"Tim McGraw, Tracy Lawrence, Toby Keith. Joe Diffie.. Keith Whitley.. it was kind of a thing in those days," a fifth person stated.
