Express uses baking soda to remove grease from oven racks
Whether it's a splatter from last night’s dinner or a smudge on the oven door, it can be particularly difficult to deal with some kitchen stains.
Many people find themselves struggling with these stubborn marks, leading to frustration and the search for effective solutions.
Fortunately, there’s an affordable staple found in most kitchen cupboards that can also be bought from all major UK retailers for as cheap as 59p.
After examining conversations around “stain removal” on Reddit, Beko has pinpointed several prevalent types of stains that users commonly seek advice on.
With more than 8,000 interactions, it’s clear that kitchen stains are a frequent concern for many. As the heart of the home, a clean and organised kitchen is a priority for many.

A particularly challenging issue that many face is the removal of stains from the oven door’s interior.
With food splatters and grease buildup, the oven door takes quite a beating, and if these stains aren’t addressed promptly, they can become quite stubborn.
One effective and natural remedy for tackling these stains is a simple paste made from baking soda and white vinegar.
To create it, combine this ingredient with vinegar and apply the mixture to the stained areas of your oven door.

Gently scrub with a non-abrasive pad to prevent scratching the glass, and after allowing the paste to work its magic for a bit, wipe away the residue with a damp cloth. For particularly persistent stains, you may need to repeat the process.
For those who want to try another method without the need for a homemade concoction, Melissa George, a cleaning expert and founder of Polished Habitat, vouches for the specialist product Magic Erasers from Mr Clean.
Melissa said: “Is your oven glass dirty? Try this simple and affordable tip for cleaning your oven window without spray chemicals!”
The Magic Eraser from Mr Clean is a sponge made out of melamine foam that is abrasive and will be able to lift stains by simply rubbing at the surface so you do not need to use harsh chemical cleaners on your oven.
