The Real Housewives of New Jersey cast has yet to learn about their fate for season 15, and a source exclusively tells In Touch that there is a “bit of panic” among the cast.
“There is a little bit of panic across the board because they haven’t been told anything yet,” an insider told In Touch exclusively. “There’s absolutely no news. Bravo has been quiet for months and everyone is still waiting to hear if their contract is going to be renewed or not.”
Season 14 of RHONJ featured stars Teresa Giudice, Melissa Gorga, Dolores Catania, Jennifer Aydin, Rachel Fuda, Margaret Josephs and Danielle Cabral, along with friends Jackie Goldschneider and Jennifer Fessler.
Jackie, herself, told In Touch, “We know nothing,” when asked for a filming update at iHeartRadio Z100’s Jingle Ball on December 13.
Meanwhile, last month, Dolores, 53, also said during the New Jersey Women’s Expo, “I don’t know when we’ll be filming again because we’re in trouble.”
The insider added, “For the time being, the cast is keeping busy with their own individual projects and doing what they can until they find out if they’re returning.”
Although there were rumors of the show getting a reboot, similar to what Real Housewives of New York City went through, the insider said that the cast “won’t know” if there is a reboot “until the last minute” because producers wouldn’t want it to be leaked.
Housewives executive producer Andy Cohen most recently told Us Weekly in a new interview that there won’t be any updates on the new season for “a year.”
“You’re not gonna get it for, like, a year, so everyone stop asking,” he said. “And I keep saying you are going to get nothing, so stop asking!”
Last month, on his SiriusXM show, he also said they’re in “no rush” and are “taking our time” when it comes to planning season 15.
The main reason why the future of the New Jersey show is such a big question is because sisters-in-law Teresa, 52, and Melissa, 45, are on non-speaking terms, which has led to there being separate teams.
A source told In Touch, “Melissa and Teresa won’t be on the show together if they do decide to bring some or all of the cast back. Teresa has made that clear, especially after she refused to do that [Deadpool] commercial with her.”
The source continued, “Their relationship hasn’t changed. They don’t communicate with one another and are completely estranged at this point.”
There certainly won’t be any family reunions during the upcoming holidays, per the source. “They definitely will be spending the holidays apart.”
While the RHONJ OG star said she will “never again” film with Melissa because “you never go against the family,” Joe Gorga’s wife shared her own thoughts about returning to filming with Teresa.
“Because of all the rumors that are out there, I am fully prepared for anything. I think I would realize that [Teresa] and I are two extremely different characters.
“So if Bravo decides to go that route and kind of the darker, whatever it is, route, then I need to say, ‘That is not a show that I want to be on anyway,’ which it truly isn’t,” Melissa said on the “Two T’s In a Pod” podcast back in August.
The feud between the duo continues. After launching Sprinkle by MG, Melissa’s new sprinkle cookie company, Teresa seemingly responded to the sweet product. “You’re welcome,” she wrote on X, referring to their 2011 sprinkle cookie feud that became a memorable moment on RHONJ.
Teresa, for her part, will have some exciting announcements coming out in the new year, a source told In Touch, although details could not be revealed at this time.
