It will be a while before the Real Housewives of New Jersey ladies are back on our screens. In fact, fans are still uncertain about the cast. However, there is still drama with many of the most revered people from the show. Notably, Melissa Gorga is firing back at RHOM star Kiki Barth over her comments. Of course, Joe Gorga is coming to his wife’s defense.
As everyone knows, Fan Fest in Miami happened last week. During the convention, Kiki was asked about Housewives cast members buying followers. She insisted that Melissa had done this and said she had seen it.
According to All About the Real Housewives, Melissa recently took to her podcast, On Display, to dispel rumors about her popularity on social media.
Melissa had this to say on the matter, “She’s (referring to Kiki) seen that I buy followers and I’m like, like, it’s like they’re bothered that I have more. I don’t understand. It’s like, like, let’s just be like, like, funny about it for a second. I’ve been on TV for 14 years. Right? I mean, I don’t know. Maybe it’s a cute family I have.”
She added, “Maybe they wanna see, like, my cute hubby and my kids since, you know, they watch them grow up. Maybe that has something to do with it. Or, you know, maybe it’s the extremely successful boutique that I own, that I have a huge customer base from, like hello that all buy from me and follow me.”
The RHONJ star then discussed the success of her clothing store. According to her, “First of all, envy has 200 and over 250,000 followers. Envy by itself. Okay? I don’t know. Maybe listen to this podcast, Joe. Maybe they’re big fans of On Display, so they follow me. I mean, what the heck do they talking about? I have multiple brand partnerships. Right? I don’t know. Maybe my followers just like, they like my singing. They follow me because I sing on display.”
According to All About the Real Housewives, Joe was also there to take up for his wife. He said that these newer Housewives cast members should be happy Melissa has given them something to aspire to.
He said, “No. They should really these housewives should really appreciate the path that you created for them. I mean, you look at what look what you have done on Instagram and social media.”
“It’s helping them. It’s helping everybody. I mean, really, you’re you’re you’re self-made. You did this all on your own. You achieved everything on your own, and you killed it,” he added.
The RHONJ husband then shared why he thinks so many people follow her, saying, “So, you know, just like the show, you know, you are who you are on social media, and that’s why people love you.”
This isn’t the first time Melissa has been accused of buying social media followers. Still, there is no denying that Melissa is likable on social media. She does her cooking videos, she posts her family, and her song is a bit of a classic when it comes to songs by Housewives cast members. It’s right up there with “Money Can’t Buy You Class” and “Don’t Be Tardy for the Party.”
Fans can listen to Melissa’s podcast on all platforms.
