Go on and take a bow.
Rihanna revealed she abstained from alcohol for 12 months while celebrating New Year’s Eve with friends Tuesday night.
“Y’all, I didn’t drink all year! I didn’t drink all year,” the “Diamonds” singer proudly declared in an Instagram video after counting down to midnight.
Rihanna, 36, captioned the post, “New Year, New Me.”
In the comments section, fans joined the billionaire Fenty Beauty founder in commemorating the milestone, while others trolled her over another year passing by without a new album.
“New Year, Old albums,” one follower wrote, while another joked, “I thought it was the countdown for the album drop.”

Rihanna enjoyed a low-key celebration this year, as she appeared to be wearing a gray bathrobe in a New York City hotel room while watching the ball drop in Times Square via a livestream on her iPhone.
In addition to pals, the nine-time Grammy winner rang in 2025 with her boyfriend, A$AP Rocky, with whom she shares two sons: 2-year-old RZA and 1-year-old Riot.
The couple started dating in late 2019 and welcomed their kids in May 2022 and August 2023.
“You really don’t remember life before; that’s the craziest thing ever,” Rihanna said of motherhood during a British Vogue interview published in February 2023, the same month she announced her second pregnancy while headlining the Super Bowl halftime show.
Rocky, for his part, has called Rihanna “a great mom” to their boys.
“I think we both have our niches, our things that we do that we’re good at,” the “F–kin’ Problems” rapper, 36, told W Magazine in October 2024 of the pair’s differing parenting styles before boasting that he is “the greatest dad in the whole wide world.”
