Singer Rihanna has not held back as she responded to a fan's rude request for a new album.
The Barbadian singer is regularly hit with requests from fans asking when she will release a new album, after her last one hit the charts eight years ago. However one fan took it too far. A Twitter account has shared the exchange between the two when a fan commented on her Instagram, as they wrote: "We want an album forehead."
Not holding back, Rihanna responded: "Listen Lorenzo! You ain't cute enough to be calling me by my black name you dizzy f***!" Fans on X have praised the SOS singer's response, as one replied: "Love her forever." Another added: "I love her sense of humor." A third posted: "the og badgalriri entered the 2025 with us omg."
Rihanna is one of the best-selling recording artists ever, with sales estimated at 250 million units globally. The artist found mainstream recognition following the release of her first two studio albums, Music of the Sun in 2005 and A Girl Like Me in 2006. However fans haven't had an album from the singer since 2016, with call for a new one getting increasingly more demanding.

Instagram)On a recent Instagram post featuring Rihanna partying with friends for New Year's Eve, the comments from fans see them begging for new music from her. One fan posted: "New year new music?" Another shared: "New album too please."
The comments online come as Rihanna hinted that she could be returning to music, as she told fans she's "starting over". The 36-year-old singer alluded to taking a "new perspective" in a previous interview and then teased with whom this might be. Speaking to Billboard, Rihanna said: "If I could only do a song with Billie Eilish. She's so good."
This isn't the first time she dropped the hint that new music is on the way, as mum-of-two Rihanna told Entertainment Tonight that she was going back to the drawing board after almost completing the new record. She said: "Yeah, I'm starting over. But I don't want to neglect the songs that I have, so I actually want to go back and listen to stuff with new ears, with my new perspective and then see what applies and what I'm still in love with."
Whilst she's confirmed her ninth album is in the works, it's already set to be a huge hit with fans desperate to hear it. The new work is long awaited as her last, Anti, was released in January 2016, and featured Work, her collab with rapper Drake, which peaked at number two in the UK charts. Away from music, Rihanna has built a fashion and cosmetic empire with her Fenty fashion and beauty range - which helped her reach billionaire status last year.
