As Rob Brydon joined David Walliams and Matt Lucas for a chat, he was almost immediately mocked by the former Britain's Got Talent judge.

The Little Britain stars were together again for their first new project in 15 years as they released their Making A Scene podcast. Joined by Rob, the trio were discussing if the Gavin and Stacey man was ever mistaken for any other famous faces. Rob, 59, opened up on the number of times fans had thought he was Strictly's Anton Du Beke, 58. He also claimed to have been mistaken for comedian Ben Miller, 58, too.

However, David was quick to point out why he could buy into the Anton mishap more than the Ben comparison. They had been discussing who could play the Welsh actor in any production about his life, with David jumping in asking: "How many times have you been mistaken for Anton Du Beke?"

Rob, with his arms folded, said: "A lot. And he for me. And Ben Miller a lot."

David quickly confessed he could see the Anton resemblance, but pushed back on the Ben comparison. "I see Ben a bit, but Ben looks a lot younger," he said. But Anton and you are similar sort of age, aren't you?"

Turning away from David in a joking look of disgust, Rob said: "Incredible. Do you know I was in a car for an hour and a quarter to get here. And that's what I get."

Bringing it back to a serious conversation, Rob added: "When you talk about who I get mistaken for, and you can say what you want to this, I always say it's Anton Du Beke, it's Ben Miller, it's AP McCoy the jockey and on a good day, hear me out, on a good day Hugh Grant."

As David and Matt gazed confused at each other, Rob fired back: "Don't look at each other like that." Matt joined in though to say: "It's Anton Du Beke isn't it?"

Rob went as far as confessing that he sometimes turns on the television when Anton is on and he thinks it is him for a split moment.

He also went on to reveal the close bond he shares with Gavin & Stacey co-star Ruth Jones. He joked he always tells her she is the "sister I never wanted" before revealing how they initially bonded over their love of theatre.
