Robbie Williams has claimed to experience premonitions in his everyday life

Robbie Williams has claimed he has psychic powers.

The 51-year-old Let Me Entertain You singer said he doesn't think the strange happenings are coincidences as they occur too frequently. Speaking on the Weaponized podcast, he shared: "You think of people and they phone. You think of people and they email. A lot of this could be coincidence. But the rate that it is happening just recently, oh wow, you've got my attention."

He also opened up about his belief in extra-terrestrial life and how he thought he saw two UFOs flying over LA 20 years ago. He claimed the unidentified flying object was so close he could have hit it with "a tennis ball" - and said he wasn't under the influence of any substances at the time.

Another occasion while writing the song Arizona - which is about alien contact - a "gold ball of light" appeared in the studio when his song was playing. But since becoming a dad to four kids with wife Ayda Field - Theodora or 'Teddy', 12, Charlie, 10, Coco, six, and four-year-old Beau - Robbie says his close encounters have completely stopped. He said: "Since the kids, zilch. Because my focus is with them and on them."

Such is his belief in the paranormal, Robbie has previously spoken about how he believes that extra-terrestrial beings were potentially targeting him because he is famous and wanted him to be a 'messenger' for them. He said: "I often wonder if I'm supposed to see it because of my public platform. Am I supposed to see this so I can talk about it?"

And he said he's had more experiences in Los Angeles than he has in England. He shared: "For some reason, I feel closer to the woo-woo in Los Angeles than I do in England. I had a house in Wiltshire, the grounds and the house were a thousand years old and you would think that there I would be inundated with spectres or doors slamming. Other people experienced it, but I didn't. It's not until I go to Los Angeles where I live, or lived for a while, that it's like there's vortexes here, it's a very strange land."

Leading ufologist and documentary maker Mark Christopher Lee believes Robbie's encounters and said there seemed to be a mysterious link between musicians and UFO sightings.

He told the Daily Star: "People love Robbie, he speaks the truth, he's from the heart. And there is this link between musicians and UFOs. I do think there is that element.

"I think it's the part of the brain that we're using, that creative side, which is making that contact and what these phenomena is picking up on. It's the collective unconscious. We're all connected and connected to the universe and beyond.''

Robbie's extra-terrestrial experiences span three decades and Mark said he believes they keep happening because he has allowed himself to be open to contact. He added: "It's like a nudge from whatever is out there at a higher level - or whatever you want to call it, whether it’s aliens or something else - that you're on the right track. I think Robbie has got that and he's unlocked it.’’
