Dozens of famous faces gathered together on Wednesday to say their final goodbyes to singer Liam Payne, who was laid to rest in Bucks, over one month after his tragic death.

The One Direction singer's beloved friends and family came together to grieve the 31-year-old after he fell from his hotel balcony in Buenos Aires on October 16.

Mourners watched as the singer's coffin arrived at the church by horse-drawn hearse while the public lined the streets. Among those attending the funeral included Liam's former bandmates Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn Malik and other dozens of other celebrity friends.

Zayn and the rest of his One Direction bandmates put their differences aside to attend the funeral, the first time the bandmates have reunited in almost one decade.

Cheryl also attended the funeral to say a final goodbye to their son Bear's dad as she was pictured with his family. Kimberley Walsh and Nicola Roberts were on hand to comfort Cheryl Tweedy as they paid their respects to Liam.

As the service got underway, funeral directors revealed a tearful tribute from his son, Bear. The youngster, who Liam shared with Cheryl had a floral tribute to the mega-star, reading: "Daddy," alongside his father's funeral.

Liam's mum Karen and dad Geoff arrived at the church and were greeted by the reverend at the entrance. Their son's coffin, with white roses laid on top, was carried inside by pall bearers to join mourners.

While numerous celebrities including James Corden, Rochelle and Marvin Humes, Simon Cowell, Robbie Keane, Damian Hurley, and of course, Liam's girlfriend - Kate Cassidy - were all in attendance, there were some familiar faces missing too.

Music legend Robbie Williams and Liam's former X Factor judge Nicole Scherzinger reportedly got in touch with his devastated family after they were unable to attend the service on Wednesday. Former Take That singer Robbie, 50, paid a heartfelt tribute to Liam following the news of his death on October 16.

At the time, Robbie penned: “You brought so much joy, light, and laughter to the lives of those that truly knew you. I will 'miss you' my friend and carry you in my heart. My thoughts and prayers are with your family."

Meanwhile, Nicole, 46, wrote: "Dear Liam, I will forever cherish and treasure the time we shared together, from fifteen years ago when One Direction was born, right up until just a few weeks ago."

According to The Sun, both Robbie and Nicola were among a series of 'many' people who reached out to Liam’s heartbroken family with words of comfort as their schedules stopped them from attending the funeral to say a final goodbye to Liam. The publication said the are “understood to have been in contact with his family and sent flowers”.

Following his funeral, Rev Jonny Rapson, the vicar who led the service, said in a statement to the PA news agency: "We will continue to hold Liam, his family and his loved ones in our prayers on what must have been a very difficult day."

A handful of local people and fans gathered outside the church to pay their final respects to Payne, who died on October 16 after falling from the third-floor balcony of a hotel in the Argentine capital Buenos Aires.

Fans around the world held vigils in his memory after his death, and a shrine to him was created in his home city of Wolverhampton, West Midlands.

After the funeral, a GoFundMe page was set up in Liam's name to "continue Liam's legacy" by helping to build a new Children's Cancer Centre at Great Ormond Street Hospital. He died of multiple traumas and "internal and external haemorrhage", a post-mortem examination report said.
