Robbie Williams came out victorious in his row with his neighbours over an infected maple tree outside his £17.5million property in London.
The singer applied to the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea in October to have the Norway maple tree felled, as he claimed it is infected with Honey fungus. The application was filled on Robbie's behalf by tree surgeon Michael Goatly, who said there was "extensive decay at the base" of the tree.
The rotting tree sits on the opposite side of the garden to the boundary he shares with Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page, 80, who opposed his previous plans to fell trees in his garden. However, the submitted plans angered neighbours who sent letters to the council slamming the application as "wholly inadequate".
One letter from a neighbour claimed there was no "supporting detail" to back up Robbie's application. Robbie still won as he was granted permission to have the infected tree removed. The council said the "over mature" tree was found to be in "poor overall health”.

It's not the first time Robbie has been embroiled in a row with his neighbours. A feud between him and Jimmy kicked off more than 10 years ago when he angered the rocker when he applied to build an underground swimming pool and gym. The musicians own multi-million-pound mansions near the Holland Park area of Kensington and Chelsea in London, and have been at each other’s throats over building issues for years.
In 2015, Robbie was forced to abandon plans to renovate his property after Jimmy claimed the vibrations of building work would damage his Grade-I listed mansion, which is located next door to Robbie’s property. However, the singer was eventually granted permission to build the underground pool and gym, but he was forced to file a guarantee that noise from planned air conditioning units would not be over a certain volume.
However, Jimmy still had the last laugh as his opposition to Robbie's plans resulted in the council ruling that the builders could only use hand-held tools to excavate the basement. Robbie, who recently had a movie about his life come out, has also been accused of "environmental vandalism” by his other neighbours after he had plans to cut back 14 trees and plants to allow more light into his property.
