Robbie Williams took a swipe at “those b***ards” Oasis as he vowed to win an Oscar for his new biopic, Better Man.

The singer, 50, performed an hour-long set wearing Chopard diamonds at the afterparty for his premiere, and joked about his rivals using dynamic pricing for their tour, and said it spared him a backlash by stopping him doing the same.

He said on stage: “I am on tour next year, I should have done dynamic pricing. I f***ing would have done though... thank f*** those b***ards went first.”

Mocking the Gallagher brothers’ insistence they did not have a say in the surge pricing, he put on a Mancunian accent and feigned innocence at the controversial pricing system, quipping: “Oh there is no way we would have....”

Meanwhile, Robbie says he hopes his track Forbidden Road, from the soundtrack to his biopic, will collect him an Academy Award.

“There may be a song that may be up for consideration for maybe an award,” he told the crowd. “I should not count my chickens but I am going to put it out there: this song will be nominated and will win an Oscar. Sending out manifestations. Just like Rudebox, it is a grower. It is still growing on people.”

Robbie has previously described the Gallaghers as “gigantic bullies”, and challenged Liam to a fight at the Brit awards in 2022. At the party at London’s Lio, Robbie heaped praise on his “angel” of an ex-girlfriend Nicole Appleton for her “bravery” of allowing him to tell their story, including how she felt pressured to have an abortion by All Saints’ management in the 1990s.

Robbie encouraged the crowd to celebrate her, saying: “A round of applause for Nicole Appleton. People keep coming to me and keep saying: ‘Very brave. Very brave of you. The documentary very brave and the film is very brave.’

“But I am on the spectrum. I am not picking up any clues of what and what should not be said. I am like: ‘Here are my haemorrhoids.’ I don’t know when to shut up. Nicole Appleton on the other hand is brave allowing us to tell that bit of the story.”

The couple dated on and off between 1997 and 1999, and Nicole went on to marry Liam Gallagher, who she shares son Gene with.

Robbie has previously said he believes next year’s Oasis reunion will be “a healing moment for our country.”

While he spoke of his respect for Liam, he has continued to make digs at Noel, saying: “Liam Gallagher reading his phone on the toilet would be more charismatic and intriguing than 99.9% of the world ’s population at their most enigmatic. All he has to do is stand there and sing for the audience to be guaranteed their money’s worth. Noel will be there too.”

Robbie has previously recalled: “Liam said I should be hung, Noel said I was ‘the fat dancer from Take That ’.”

Robbie’s wife Ayda Field said she is “comfortable” with him including so many details of his past relationship with Nicole. “Well it’s part of his story,” she said. “I was comfortable with it. Listen you can’t edit out the past. We all have exes. I have exes. I am not a jealous type and she seems lovely.”

The film’s director Michael Gracey spoke of Robbie’s regrets about the relationship at the premiere, and revealed Nicole was integral to the film’s development, saying: “I think Robbie has a great deal of affection for Nicole and I think he has a great deal of regret that he has for how he behaved at the time.”

Better Man is released in cinemas on December 26.
