Ronda Rousey and her husband Travis Browne have welcomed their baby Liko’ula Pā’ūomahinakaipiha into the world amid the Los Angeles wildfires.
The former WWE champion gave birth to her and her fellow UFC star’s second child as she hinted they are still in the LA area after more than 100,000 people have been forced to evacuate their homes as six fires rage throughout the city.
The 37-year-old athlete trains out of Glendale in LA County, and while it’s unclear where her daughter was born, Rousey has suggested she and her family are still in the area.
‘Our little girl came into this world during a windstorm into a city on fire, so grateful she made it safe and sound,’ she wrote on Instagram.
She revealed the couple have named their second daughter Liko’ula Pā’ūomahinakaipiha Browne, and she ended the caption with a red love heart.
The star shared family photos with the new arrival, as well as a video of Ronda introducing her and Travis’ eldest daughter La’akea, three, to her sibling.
The UFC legends married in August 2017, and welcomed their daughter La’akea into the world four years later, while Ronda is also stepmother to two of Travis’ children Kaleo and Keawe from his previous marriage.
She confirmed her pregnancy at San Diego Comic-Con in July last year while speaking to host Dave Bautista about her debut graphic novel Expecting the Unexpected.
She debuted her growing baby bump while wearing a flowing pink and white dress, but didn’t offer any further comment on the happy news.
The Mile 22 star keeps much of her life private, but in an interview for People back in June 2023, she revealed her little girl seems to have inherited the ‘tough’ gene from her.
‘Oh, she’s definitely going to be tough. She doesn’t respond to pain so much,’ she said. ‘She just fell and scraped her knee today and she was just like… she didn’t even cry. She just kind of grunts it out!’
Rousey was crowned the UFC women’s bantamweight champion in December 2012, and held a 12-0 record in the promotion before a KO loss to Holly Holm in 2015.
Over a year later, she lost in 48 seconds to Amanda Hunes, before joining WWE in 2018 as she embarked on a successful wrestling career.
During her five years with the sports entertainment company, Rousey held the Raw Women’s Title and became a two-time SmackDown Women’s Champion.
She also held tag team gold with Shayna Baszler, and made history with Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair as they became the first women to headline WrestleMania.
