Rosé is gearing up for a huge moment in her career, and it’s safe to say she’s feeling the love and support — especially from one of pop’s biggest icons, Taylor Swift. As she prepares to release her debut solo album, rosie, out on December 6, 2024, the BLACKPINK star is shouting out the Grammy-winning songstress for helping her navigate this new chapter.

In an exclusive interview with I-D published on November 18, Rosé couldn’t help but gush about her relationship with the “Anti-Hero” hitmaker, calling her “literally the coolest” and a true “girl’s girl.” The pop superstars first connected when Taylor offered to help Rosé as she ventured into solo territory.

“She was telling me – make sure to take care of this, this and this – like, logistics. She was trying to protect me. Me becoming solo, being independent, it’s not an easy thing. There are a lot of things I should be careful with, and she gave me a rundown on all the things I have to look out for. That was the coolest part – she’s killed it in the game, and she was kind enough to walk me through,” Rosé shared.

Their bond clearly formed right away. “I told her I’m such a huge fan, and I just had some questions,” Rosé recalled of their first meeting. “As soon as she met me, she’s like, ‘Spill, let me help you out.’”

Taylor even passed along her number in case she needed a friend. “Who does that? Like, you’re Taylor Swift!” Rosé exclaimed. “I’m really grateful for her, because I was at a moment where I was drowning a little,” she confessed, thankful for the support that made all the difference.

ICYMI, rosie is Rosé’s highly anticipated debut solo album, and fans are already counting down the days until its December release.

On October 1, the “APT.” singer shared her excitement, writing, “I cannot believe I am finally announcing my first album release to you all.” She went on to reveal that the journey to this point wasn’t easy. “I fell asleep many nights feeling confused and lost. But with the support of my dear friends and family, my team, and of course my number ones, I am sat here today excited to announce the date of my album release.”

“I have poured my blood and tears into this album,” she continued. “I cannot wait for you to listen to this little journal of mine,” she wrote. And if you’re wondering about the album title, it’s no coincidence. “Rosie – is the name I allow my friends and family to call me. With this album, I hope you all feel that much closer to me,” she said.
