Roseanne Barr is “dropping bars” in a peculiar pro-Trump music video that jabs at rapper Eminem.
The video, which was released yesterday, features Canadian rapper Tom MacDonald and Barr, dancing while decked out in box braids and oversized gold chains (the kinds of aesthetic choices that people in the Black community have often been condemned for). If you had a dollar for every “Make America Great Again” hat in sight, you’d be well on your way to an early retirement.
The song, titled “Daddy’s Home,” is filled with lyrics aimed taunting voters who backed Vice President Kamala Harris and found the post-election outcome disappointing. Then Barr catapults into a rap verse of her own verse while flipping off the camera.
“They try to cancel me and say I’m a racist,” the actor said. “I got a mean hook, they can’t get me with that jam. Trying to take away my right to go and say this. Well, listen up, ’cause this Granny’s going bad.”
Barr then boxes out of her weight class and takes a dig at Eminem: “Screw Eminem, I’m Roseanne.”
Longtime Trump supporter Barr has never been one to shy away from controversy or bold political fashion statements. In 2023, she showed up at one of his rallies dawning a jacket she said that her friend made — which depicted Trump as a matador, riding a bull, with an American flag.
“Trump is the MAGAdor,” she stated. “Yeah, and that’s that deep state bull.”
After the video made its way across social media, users on X, formerly Twitter, were quick to offer their takes. One user remarked, “Roseanne jumped in on the crazy train and drove it off a cliff.”
“I saw that Roseanne video and I am completely speechless. I didn’t think it was possible anymore, but here I am with not a word to describe what I just watched,” wrote another person.
