Ruth Langsford is headed to Australia to support her pal Jane Moore on I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here, but admitted that she experienced a "bizarre" event during her flight.
The former This Morning host, 64, will be venturing into the wilderness for a spot on the popular ITV show's spin-off, Unpacked. Caught by photographers as she travelled to Oz, Ruth has kept her followers updated via social media.
On Instagram, she posted a picture of three suitcases with the caption: "Australia here I come! ! Never could travel light! ! ! @imacelebrity."
Landing in Dubai, she cheerfully bid farewell to "goodbye grey skies" while sipping on a glass of bubbly. Beaming with excitement, she said her adventure was starting and announced that she'd feature on Unpacked this Friday reports the Mirror.
Later, Ruth shared a snap of her reading a magazine article about her jungle journey and chuckled as she wrote: "Reading about myself on the plane ... bizarre! Can't believe I'll be within touching distance of @janepmoore! !"
Taking her place on the Unpacked sofa, Ruth follows celebrities like Coronation Street's Colson Smith. From there, she'll spill all the jungle gossip to ITV2 show hosts Joel Dommett, Sam Thompson, and Kemi Rodgers.
Ruth is heading to Australia following a subtle jab at her ex, Eamonn Holmes, earlier this week. The TV personality announced the end of her marriage to former co-star Eamonn, 64, in May.

The pair had been together for over twenty years and have a son, Jack Holmes, 22. According to the Daily Mail, Ruth seemed to take a swipe at her ex, who is now seeing Katie Alexander, in a recent social media post where she declared herself "happy" after their split.
The report suggests that Ruth posted a picture of her lunch - tomatoes, avocados, and olives - on her Instagram on Sunday. Interestingly, the image also featured a mug with "happy" written across it.
The post, accompanied by the song Brunch Time by Hello EMC, was simply captioned: "Yum." Her decision to head Down Under comes after what has been described as "a tough year", according to a source.
An insider told The Sun that Ruth's choice to appear on the I'm A Celeb spin-off show is part of her process of moving on from a difficult year. They said: "It's been a tough year for Ruth and she's been putting her best foot forward, she's thrilled to have been asked to appear on this the spin off show and fly to Australia ahead of Christmas."
They added that Ruth's participation has "excited" the show's producers. "The production team are particularly excited they have landed Ruth to join them as they think she'll be amazing and give the new format a boost," the source added.
