Ruth Langsford made a bit of a dig at her ex, Eamonn Holmes, as she admitted that she was getting rid of rubbish. It comes as the Loose Women star and her panel of ITV co-stars were discussing what they do with "old pieces of tat".

They shared whether they were in favour of keeping hold of old items or binning them. The former This Morning star shared that she was having a bit of a declutter as she said: "I'm not a hoarder, I'm a clearer outer.

"Come round, I've always got a skip outside." She cheekily added: "I'm throwing out a lot of stuff out at the moment!"

It comes as she and Eamonn, both 64, split  after 14 years of marriage. He has since reportedly moved on with new girlfriend, 42-year-old Katie Alexander.

It was previously reported that Ruth  had been eager to rid her home of "constant reminders" of her former partner and was keen for him to "pack up his belongings and move out" following their split.

A source told the press: "Ruth doesn't want him to feel like he can pop back and forth when he likes to grab bits." They went on to say: "She wants a clean slate and has even told friends she might change the locks."

The same source mentioned that Ruth had been looking to set a time for him to collect his things, or else they may end up "taken to a skip", with some friends humorously suggesting a car boot sale could be in order.

Eamonn is believed to have moved out of their mansion before their shock divorce announcement.

It was reported last month that Ruth has hired a 'fierce' divorce lawyer amid the bitter split. Ruth is said to have hired Catherine Costley to help her with a financial settlement in the divorce.

Ms Costley is known for her fierce approach to divorce settlements and has said all women should have a 'go bag' fund when exiting a relationship. The savvy solicitor has represented some big names and  A-list stars in the past, including Paul McCartney, Liam Gallagher and Madonna.

She was also an apprentice of 'Steel Magnolia' Baroness Fiona Shackleton - Britain's highest-profile divorce lawyer who famously represented Charles in his split from Diana in 1996.
