The 2025 Golden Globe Awards will surely be a star-studded affair but there are some surprising nominated stars who opted to skip the prestigious award show. While we’ll see many stars go all out with their looks with stunning red carpet gowns, suits and more, there were also quite a few no-shows.
Among them were Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, stars of Deadpool & Wolverine, whose absence was reported ahead of time by Deadline. Per the outlet, they decided not to attend because of Reynolds’ wife Blake Lively’s lawsuit against her It Ends With Us co-star Justin Baldoni. To them, who are nominated in the Cinematic and Box Office Achievement category, going to an event like this would only create more media attention distracting from the lawsuit itself.
