Rylan Clark has certainly evolved from his reality TV beginnings.
The broadcaster now boasts an impressive resume, including stints on BBC Radio Two and hosting gigs for shows like Ready Steady Cook, Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two, and Supermarket Sweep.
Rylan, who celebrated his 36th birthday last week, has also faced challenges since his breakout on The X Factor in 2012. His victory on Celebrity Big Brother in 2013 not only launched his presenting career but also led to romance with former police officer and Big Brother contestant Dan Neal.
The couple's love story saw them getting engaged in Paris and marrying in a lavish ceremony in 2015. However, Rylan later admitted to infidelity within their marriage.
The breakdown of their relationship in 2021 took a toll on Rylan's mental health, leading him to take a four-month break from work. On Matt Willis's On The Mend podcast, he revealed that he had attempted suicide twice during this period.
Now, three years later, Rylan is in a better place. While he cherishes the memories with his ex-husband, he expressed one regret on Kathy Burke's Where There's A Will There's A Wake podcast: "I don't regret getting married," he said.
Rylan expressed regret over his past marriage decisions in a candid chat, admitting: "I mean I regret not having a f***ing prenup. That's the only thing I regret. But even though everyone was like get a prenup, I was like I'm in love. Silly prick."
He also shared about his return to the dating world on the BBC series, 'Rob and Rylan's Grand Tour', which he co-hosts with his friend and fellow divorcee, Rob Rinder. The pair are retracing the steps of historic Grand Tourists, reports the Mirror.
Rylan, hopeful for better romantic fortunes, opened up while venturing on a blind date during the show, "Hopefully my luck with men is about to change," Rylan quipped, revealing the highs and lows of his recent dating experiences.
"I always thought when you were younger: 'Imagine if you were known, you would be able to get anyone you want'. It's the complete opposite. I've had two dates in the last two years.
"One of them was really, really great and was going well. And then my job was just too much for his life. And then the other one was so interested in my job, he decided to call the press. So they're the two opposite ends of the spectrum. I need somebody in the middle that can deal with it, but don't want it."
