Sacha Baron Cohen Is Shutting Down Dating Rumors With This Fellow Actress After Raising Eyebrows

When celebrities are in longtime couples, it might be easy for them to forget how easily their names can be swept up in dating rumors. But, once they split, we’re sure that the wake-up call comes earlier than expected.

For Sacha Baron Cohen, who split from his ex Isla Fisher after 20 years together in April 2024, he’s already had some fans raising their eyebrows.

At the Fourth Annual Academy Museum Gala on Oct. 19, for example, dating rumors started swirling after he walked the carpet with comedian and actress Sarah Silverman.

On the carpet, Cohen wore an all-black double-breasted suit while Silverman wore a gray mini-dress, a matching dark gray cardigan and a series of stacked necklaces. Most notably, however, the two held hands as they posed for pictures. Romantic, much?

But, soon as fans started asking questions, a source is already setting the record straight. “They’re just dear friends,” a source told Page Six. “Sarah has been friends with him and Isla [Fisher] for 20 years.”

So there it is: Cohen’s first relationship rumor since splitting with Fisher. At least he denied it all before it got too much traction, right?

As a reminder, Cohen and Fisher split after nearly 14 years of marriage in April 2024. They share three children named Olive, 16, Elula, 14, and Montgomery, 9.

“After a long tennis match lasting over 20 years, we are finally putting our racquets down. In 2023 we jointly filed to end our marriage,” Fisher wrote in her Instagram announcement at the time. “We have always prioritized our privacy and have been quietly working through this change. We forever share in our devotion and love for our children We sincerely appreciate your respecting our family’s wish for privacy.”

And while Cohen may not be dating Silverman, insiders dished that Fisher is ready to jump back into the dating pool herself. “Isla has turned the page in her life and is open about her desire to find a long-term partner, but right now she’s exploring, meeting people and enjoying the single life for the first time in more than 20 years,” insiders told InTouch Weekly earlier this month.

“Despite the pain of the last few years as her marriage crumbled, she hasn’t lost that sense of fun and optimism that she has had going back to her twenties when she and Sacha first got together,” the source continued. “She still has that youthful spark and she finally has something to use it on: finding a new husband!”
