Sam Thompson has been spotted for the first time since his break up with Zara McDermott.
Earlier this week, it was revealed that Sam, 32, and Zara, 28, had ended their five-year relationship. The couple not only shared a large home next to Sam's sister Louise Thompson, but also two cats; Cedric and Albus.
In snaps obtained by the Mirror, Sam looked incredibly downcast as he was seen arriving at his London home on Thursday dressed in a beige bomber jacket and dark trousers.
Appearing deep in thought, the TV star was wearing headphones and quickly entered his luxurious property, seemingly trying to avoid drawing attention.
Zara was nowhere to be seen with Sam's sighting coming after the pair spent Christmas and New Year apart.
I'm A Celebrity 2023 winner Sam celebrated the new year at London's Kensington Roof Gardens with former Made in Chelsea co-stars Reza Amiri-Garroussi and Josh Patterson, while Zara stayed at home with their cats. A week earlier, Sam had been distributing gifts and volunteering for a charity on Christmas Day, while Zara spent the holiday in Upminster, Essex, with her family.
The couple had also spent time apart while Sam worked on I'm A Celebrity spin-off show Unpacked in Australia. Zara couldn't join him due to work commitments while she was filming a BBC documentary.
An insider revealed to MailOnline: "Sam and Zara have ended their relationship. It's been an incredibly difficult decision for them to part ways, they still care and have a lot of love for each other."

They added that despite efforts to salvage their romance, time apart had taken its toll, with both parties now focusing on their individual careers.
While Sam and Zara have not publicly addressed the breakup, Sam hinted at his optimism for 2025 in an Instagram Story on New Year's Day, exclaiming: "New year! 2025 baby come on let's have it! I can't wait. The New year is going to be amazing and you're going to have the best year ever. And you know I'm always right," before affectionately kissing his camera.
In contrast, Zara had previously expressed concerns about their relationship's longevity after her infidelity came to light. The former Love Island contestant, 28, was unfaithful to Sam, 32, with music executive Brahim Fouradi during her stint on X Factor in 2019.
Despite the scandal, following Zara's heartfelt public apology, Sam, known from Made in Chelsea, chose to forgive her.
Zara McDermott opened up about her past infidelity in a candid chat with Jamie Laing on Made In Chelsea in October 2022, admitting that she believed her relationship with Sam Thompson would end because of it. She revealed: "When it happened I genuinely thought that me and Sam were going to break up, inevitably. I just thought we were hanging on by a tiny thread and we're going to break up."
Prior to this heartfelt admission on the E4 show, Zara had already made a public on-screen apology to Sam around a year after her slip-up came to light following her X Factor appearance.
She expressed remorse in an Instagram story statement, confessing: "A huge mistake I made a year ago has recently come to light and I want to face this head on. I don't condone being unfaithful and I made a huge mistake at a time in my life where I was hugely selfish and immature."
She continued: "I believe I have learnt so much from my mistake. I want to apologise to my Sam for everything I have put him through, for the pain, the embarrassment, the anger and the hurt. All I want to do is make this right and I think the least he deserves is me being honest with myself and all of you. I love you Sam. Forever x."
