Caitlin Hale and Angelo Massagli first met at the age of 10 on the set of School of Rock; now, the pair have officially got hitched in a touching ceremony on Saturday
Two child stars from the School of Rock film have gotten married in a lavish ceremony.
Caitlin Hale and Angelo Massagli both starred in the 2003 hit Hollywood film, together with acting icon Jack Black. Since then, the pair have been inseparable, confirming they had got engaged back in 2023.
Now, 21 years after they first met on the set of the film - when they were both aged just 10, the pair have officially gotten hitched. The marriage took place in a touching ceremony in New York on Saturday (January 4), as the couple rang in the new year in style.
A number of original cast members of the film had been invited as a tribute to how the pair first met when they starred as Marta and Frankie in the hilarious film. The pair confirmed the wedding via a post on their Instagram accounts, which including a number of their fellow actors.
Taking to her social media, Caitlin - now aged 33 - shared a number of snaps from her happy day, including several photobooth snaps with their former co-stars. Taking to the caption, Caitlin - who has since left acting to become a sonographer - beamed with smiles as she revelled in her happy day.
"Special thank you to everyone who contributed to an unforgettable day!" she penned. Some of her co-stars also shared their own moments of the day, with Rivkah Reyes - who plays bassist Katie in the flick, also sharing clips of the do on her TikTok account - which featured other co-stars including Brian Falduto, Aleisha Allen and Joey Gaydos Jr.
The clip of the festivities included the song Edge Of Seventeen by Stevie Nicks, a nod to one of the scenes of the 2003 movie. In one hilarious scene, lead actor Jack sings the song together with Joan Cusack, who plays headteacher Rosalie Mullins.
According to The New York Times, Caitlin and Angelo only had limited contact with each other after a WhatsApp group was set up with all of the cast of the film. This allowed the pair to get together and start their blossoming relationship, and the pair's love for each other only grew from there.
Since then, the couple have left the showbiz world behind, and only properly reconnected while studying in schools close to one another in Florida. In an interview with The Times, Angelo - who is now a TikTok lawyer - said that their time on set helped to "cut through some of those early relationship hurdles".
School of Rock focused on Jack Black working as a substitute teacher, helping to realise the potential of a group of musically gifted kids, helping them to form a band. Starring Miranda Cosgrove and Sarah Silverman, the film was released to rave reviews and currently holds a Rotten Tomatoes score of 92%.
