Sean “Diddy” Combs has been denied bail for a third time.
According to multiple outlets, Federal judge Arun Subramanian denied the rapper’s plea on Wednesday following his court appearance on Friday.
“The Court finds that the government has shown by clear and convincing evidence that no condition or combination of conditions will reasonably assure the safety of the community,” Subramanian wrote in a five-page order, per CNN.
Prosecutors argued in court Friday that Combs, 55, poses too much of a threat to victims if released from prison ahead of his sex trafficking and racketeering trial, which is set for a May 5 start.
They claimed he would try to intimidate witnesses if freed from jail — and that he was already tampering with witnesses while in federal custody at NYC’s Metropolitan Detention Center, where he has been locked up since his arrest in September.
Prosecutors alleged he has attempted to contact witnesses via three-way calling and has lied about using ContactMeASAP service for inmates.
During the two-hour court hearing Friday, his defense reportedly claimed he stopped using the service on Nov. 16. but data showed he was using it as of Nov. 24.
Page Six has reached out to his rep for comment, but we did not receive an immediate response.
This is a developing story…
