A hilarious case of a dog stealing food off a kitchen counter has been caught on camera in a video that has gained viral attention on TikTok.
In a clip that has currently been viewed 1.5 million times on TikTok, the hilarious dinner heist by a Dalmatian from West Virginia has left people in stitches.
The escapade was caught on an indoor Ring camera where Marshall, the 5-year-old Dalmatian, stole owner Graham Godwin's food while his wife's back was turned.
In the footage, Marshall trotted into the kitchen while his owner had her back turned was none the wiser. Marshall, watched by the family's bulldog, spotted his target: a dish of Bob Evans mac and cheese sitting on the counter.
With the stealth of a seasoned pro, Marshall climbed up, gently grabbed the dish, and quietly left the room to enjoy his spoils.
"The moment was captured on my Ring camera. He took Bob Evans mac and cheese from the kitchen. Yes, he ate it. This doesn't happen too often, but he has gotten other things off the counter and tables before," Godwin told Newsweek.
According to Godwin, the hilarious heist left his wife completely oblivious at the time, as she continued to cook with her back turned to the canine culprit. What's more, the bulldog companion innocently watched things unfold, seemingly in on the whole plan.
"I shared it online because I thought it was funny the way he was so sneaky and slick about stealing the mac and cheese," Godwin added.
The TikTok video, which was posted earlier this month by @gegodwin10, sparked plenty of laughter online as people shared their reactions in the comments section.
TikTok user 22summer24 wrote: "Love how the bulldog was like hurry up, I'll keep guard. Cute puppers."
While another user, Shelby, commented: "Yep, my Dalmatian is also a counter surfer. The one habit we just can't break. He got a whole stick of butter once."
This isn't the first time a dog has been caught red-pawed in a theft. Earlier this week, a cocker spaniel named Bobby was the center of internet attention when he took and kept a €20 (equivalent to $21) note.
Meanwhile in July, another dog seized his moment when his owner left food unattended, getting his paws on a grilled cheese while his owner was busy on a work call.
