Selena Gomez Had A Hilariously Awkward Reaction After Stephen Colbert Questioned Benny Blanco’s “Intentions” With Her

Both Selena and Benny have made it clear they’re super happy together; in September, the Emilia Pérez star told Vanity Fair: “I’ve never been loved this way. He’s just been a light. A complete light in my life. He’s my best friend. I love telling him everything.”

A few months prior, in May, Selena made it known that Benny was “not going anywhere any time soon” as she gushed about their relationship.

While Selena and Stephen discussed her Thanksgiving, the host displayed a photo of her and Benny hugging over the holidays.

“He seems to like you a lot,” Stephen observed, with Selena quipping, “Well, I hope so.”

Stephen then suddenly said, “If you don't mind me asking, where is this relationship going?”

“Woah!” said Selena, who was visibly caught off guard. “I thought you were going to ask where was this picture taken!”

Selena then answered, “You know what, I'm not sure, but I'm having a great time.”

However, Stephen pushed further, asking if she thought Benny was watching at home before hilariously turning to face the camera and addressing him directly.

“Benny,” he began, while Selena could be heard saying, “Oh no.”

“You must think you're pretty special if you think you can do better than this, OK,” he joked, with Selena laughing. “And as America's dad, I want to know what your intentions are with America's daughter right over here?” he asked.

A visibly flustered Selena then mouthed, “Oh my God,” while laughing and awkwardly thanking the host.

Stephen wound up asking Selena if she and Benny have a “good relationship,” to which she replied, “Oh yeah. It’s lovely.”
