Sexyy Red calls for Lil Durk’s freedom in her newly released video for “Fake Jammin.”
The video, which first had its introduction to the world during Kai Cenat’s Mafiathon 2 stream, opens with an on-screen text reading, “FREE SMURK.”
The St. Louis-set video then continues with Sexyy and company making their way through the city, including a fitting stop at a Wendy’s. The fast food chain is mentioned in the track’s second verse, like so: “I need a n***a with a 10-car line like Wendy’s.”
Durk, who was previously arrested in Florida in connection with a murder-for-hire allegation, this month was accused in a superseding federal grand jury indictment of conspiring to “murder a rival rapper" this month.
A pair of felonies were added in the case, which prosecutors said centered on Durk’s alleged orchestration of “a cold-blooded murder” that ended up resulting in the death of the aforementioned rival’s family member.
“No excuse can justify this violent act and let me be clear: While you’re going about your life, thinking you ‘got away with it,’ the FBI is piecing together the facts that will serve as your undoing,” Akil Davis, who serves as assistant director in charge of the agency’s Los Angeles office, said in a news release.
During a hometown tour stop back in September, Durk was among the special guests who surprised Sexyy’s fans during the show.
