After suggesting that she was a fan of Donald Trump last year, Sexyy Red revealed that she voted for Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election.
In an incredibly on-brand post, Sexyy Red shared photos showing her posing in front of a car with "I Voted" stickers on her body. "I just voted!!!" she wrote. "Don't tell us what to do with our coochies!! #Kamala4President."
For anyone who has been following Sexyy Red, her endorsement of Harris might come as a surprise. The St. Louis rapper delivered a performance in a MAGA-style hat earlier this year, and before that she indicated that she was a fan of the Republican nominee.
In an interview with Theo Von last year, she was asked about her politics and shared that she was fond of Trump because of the stimulus checks everyone received during the COVID-19 pandemic. “I like Trump,” she said. "Yeah, they support him in the hood. ‘Cos at first I don’t think people was fucking with him. Like they thought he was racist, saying little shit, and against women. But once he started getting Black people out of jail and giving people that free money, ah baby, we love Trump. We need him back in office.”
It's unclear what prompted her change of heart. Perhaps she looked into the Democratic platform on reproductive rights versus what the Republicans are running on. Or maybe she was just trolling us this entire time. Who knows?
