Shameless star Tina Malone lost her husband earlier this year after he tragically took his own life aged just 42, and this will be her first Christmas since then
Shameless actress Tina Malone has shared how she will be paying tribute to her late husband this Christmas.
The grieving star was left devastated earlier this year when her husband Paul took his own life at the age of 42. The former soldier died in March.
In what will be her first Christmas without him, Tina, 61, will be remembering her beloved husband with her family. They will remember him with a number of touching tributes.
"We will raise a glass for him at Christmas lunch and talk about him around the table," she told Closer magazine.
"We'll play his favourite music and share our favourite stories. The loss and the sorrow of losing Paul is insurmountable, I will never, ever get over it."
The duo shared daughter Flame. Tina has said she is trying to be "strong" for their child in what is their first Christmas without Paul.
However she is wanting to make it "magical and special" for their girl. Tina has bought a matching pair of Christmas pyjamas to help them remember him.
She said: "On Christmas Eve we'd always wear matching pyjamas, and this year me, my mum and Flame will do the same. Flame has asked me to buy Paul a pair too, which we will keep with us."
For their Christmas Dinner, Tina and Flame with eat with her mum, and Paul's dad, before joining more family later in the day.
Earlier this month, Tina was left heartbroken by her daughter. She turned 11 on December 15 and told her mum: "I don't want any presents, I just want Daddy back."
Other ways she keeps his memory alive is by having "out loud" disagreements with him – like asking him where the screwdrivers are.
Tina blames Paul's PTSD after serving in the army for his death. The couple got married in 2010, splitting briefly in 2019 before getting back together in 2020.
