Shocking list of all Baba Vanga's predictions that came true in 2024

4 hours ago 4

Baba Vanga made some eerily accurate predictions for 2024, some of which actually came true.

The Bulgarian mystic, real name Vangeliya Pandeva Gushterova, shot to fame in Eastern Europe in the mid-twentieth century for her prophetic abilities.

Born in 1911, the clairvoyant became blind at the age of 12, which she said boosted her ability to 'see' other things - notably, the future.

Vanga made some chilling predictions for the next 3,000 years before she died in 1996, including the death of Princess Diana and 9/11.

But what did she predict in 2024 and did they come true?

An economic crisis

Vanga reportedly predicted that 2024 would be the year the world would tumble into turmoil over an economic crisis.

Even as recession fears faded towards the middle of the year, the cost of living crisis continued to grip the States and most of the world, from unaffordable housing to staggering child care costs and soaring car prices, many felt 2024 presented a slow and agonizing death of the American Dream.

So, with billions struggling to make ends meet this year, Vanga's call for 2024 was pretty accurate.

Climate crisis

To add to the traumatic list of worldly crises, Vanga reportedly said 2024 would endure some 'environmental challenges'.

The World Meteorological Organization said just last month that 2024 has shaped up to be the hottest year on record, prompting the WMO to raise a 'red alert' for the 'sheer pace of climate change in a single generation'.

Meanwhile, climate change has been the driving force behind some other extreme weather events and disasters this year, from devastating floods in Brazil and Kenya to wildfires in South America and the hurricanes that hit the Caribbean, Texas and Florida.

Extreme heat killed hundreds of people in Mexico while some countries in Europe suffered record rainfall throughout September.

So, safe to say Vanga was on the money with this one, too.

Medical advancements in cancer and Alzheimer's

This year, doctors made a major breakthrough as they determined new tests to detect cancer in those under the of 18, as well as treatment for cervical cancer.

Scientists at the University of Oxford are developing the world's first ovarian cancer vaccine, with the potential to cure millions of women from the disease in the future.

A disease-modifying treatment to help those with Alzheimer's was also approved for the first time in the UK this year, as early clinical trials suggested the condition could be slowed.

Vanga didn't exactly outline what medical advancements she thought would come to fruition in 2024, but reportedly knew there would be some potentially life-saving discoveries being made.

Biological weapons

Vanga allegedly predicted a powerful nation turning to use biological weapons this year which, thankfully hasn't (and hopefully won't) happen anytime soon.

That said, fears had ramped up this year that Vladimir Putin could've 'pushed the button' as Russia continues to develop chemical and biological weapons while launching its assault on Ukraine.

In an Arms Control Association compliance report published this year, the United States said the Russian Federation 'maintains an offensive BW [biological weapons] program and is in violation of its obligations under Articles I and II of the BWC [Biological Weapons Convention]'.

What's in store for 2025?

Alarmingly, Vanga made some more terrifying predictions for 2025, including the break-out of war between two countries in Europe.

But she reportedly said it could also be the year for some astounding discoveries, from human telepathy to aliens making contact, weirdly during a major sporting event, and lab-grown human organs.
