The ITV talent competition is currently filming its auditions in Blackpool, having moved from its usual location at the Palladium theatre in London's West End for the 2025 series. Simon, along with Bruno Tonioli, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden, agreed to the move, which bosses believe has created a more electric atmosphere at the Blackpool Winter Gardens.
Adding to the fun, Simon was seen driving around town in a gold Volkswagen campervan, complete with a humorous sticker on the driver's door featuring a cartoon of himself sat on the toilet with his trousers down while sporting Union Jack socks.
Simon also got his fellow judges involved in the fun as they posed behind a typical seaside photo board.
The Britain's Got Talent judges had a laugh as they posed in a cheeky cut-out, with Amanda Holden depicted riding Simon Cowell, who smiled as a donkey, while Alesha Dixon was seen carrying a shirtless Bruno Tonioli. Simon Cowell gave fans a sneak peek into what to expect as he rejoined the judging panel and even snapped a cheeky pic of the audience, reports the Mirror.
Earlier in the week, auditions kicked off again after a pause in filming. The show took a sombre turn when Simon stopped production following the heartbreaking news that Liam Payne, former member of One Direction, had tragically passed away at 31 after a fall from the third floor of a hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina, back in October.
The tragedy left him visibly shaken by the loss. Filming for Britain's Got Talent 2025 had only started a week before the incident, and rumours swirled that Simon was taking some time out, with Bruno Tonioli stepping in temporarily.
Simon had previously expressed his deep sorrow over Liam's death and was seen receiving comfort from the singer's parents at the funeral. In a heartfelt tribute to Liam, Simon penned: "You never really know how you feel about someone until a moment like this happens."
"Liam, I am devastated. Heartbroken. And I feel empty. And I want you to know how much love and respect I have for you. Every tear I have shed is a memory of you."
