A heartwarming video has captured the joy of two women as they visited their childhood home 18 years after leaving.

Magnolia Collaton, 24, now lives in Utah, but when she and her sister were near their childhood home in Florida, they couldn't help but stop by.

I moved out of the family home roughly around 2006," Collaton told Newsweek. "I kept dreaming about visiting my childhood home. I always dreamt of my dad bringing my sister and I back to the home to see it again, as if it was a visit to our past."

In the video, Collaton is visibly moved as the current homeowner graciously invites her and her sister inside.

"Seeing the home again was a major emotional roller coaster. I was immediately crying after the woman let us in, and I cried throughout the entire tour," Collaton said.

The home had remained strikingly familiar, adding to the sisters' nostalgia. Particularly special were the memories of their late parents.

"There was the same rustic tiles my father had laid on the floor, the walls were painted the same color. They even had the same ceiling fans and window blinds. It was like stepping into a time capsule," Collaton said. "It felt just like all of the dreams I had. I felt like my parents were there with me in spirit, and it felt like the closure I needed."

Collaton shared the emotional moment on TikTok, where the video has been viewed over 1 million times. In the video caption, she said the moment was "by far the most emotional, bittersweet healing experience I've ever had. We'll remember this forever."

In the comments, people shared their reactions, including their own experiences of visiting old homes and

"I drove by my childhood house a couple years ago and the car in the driveway was the exact car I was driving! ...The guy saw me looking and invited me inside to see the updates! I also cried. So surreal," said viewer Eri.

"Every now and then I visit my old house. Somehow the owner always sees me and invites me in for coffee and a tour," TikToker Julia wrote.

Some people even had unusual suggestions for revisiting once-loved spaces. Viewer Giannalois said: "I don't know if it helps you, but I made my childhood home on Sims so I can visit it when I want now that I live [far] away."

Collaton hopes the video inspires others to revisit their past.

"Knowing I have inspired some people to go and fulfill that dream is so heartwarming to me," she said.
