To kick off 2025, brands such as Virgin Media, Sky, and Samsung, are some of many brands offering significant price reductions for shoppers. The New Year brings yet another consumer date with the flurry of January sales.

As with any sale, however, we want to ensure the deals are worth taking to the checkout. So our Tech and Commerce team have picked out the sales we think give consumers value for money, after regularly scouring the sale pages.

So, grab a cuppa and sit back for the broadband, TV, mobile, and all-important household items you can get for a fraction of the price. Here are six tech deals in the January sale we don't think you can afford to miss...even if you save them for a later date.

Virgin Media and Sky are at the top when it comes to broadband and TV bills, anyone in need for a refresh will want to head to the retailers first over rival providers. Both are offering price drops but they do vary significantly depending on the type of packages you pick as we breakdown the varying deals.

Virgin Media's deal is hard to ignore. The hefty £504 discount can be found on its Biggest Combo bundle plan, marking the largest saving in its Winter Sale. The new monthly price is £69, down from the usual £97, although this is tapped into a lengthy 18-month contract.

The sale has been ongoing since December 27 and will continue up until February 5. Sky's TV sale knocks £120 off the total bill - yes, a lesser saving than Virgin Media - but it's still worth considering. At a cheaper £35 monthly price it's offering the Sky Full Fibre and Sky Essential Plan and ideally aimed at those who enjoy...you guessed it, streaming.

With a 150Mbps streaming the plan aso includes the nifty Sky Stream box, Essential TV package with Sky Atlantic and Netflix thrown in too so still worth saving for series and film fans out there.

Moving onto the third deal we have Dyson, and one for any beauty fans out there. Despite the brand putting a halt to its 'Winter Sale Event' earlier this week there are still discounts on hair tools. The popular AirStrait tool, which uses air over heat to straighten hair is £399.

There's also something for rival Shark shoppers, with up to £150 off cordless vacuums our fourth picked deal is on the Upright Classic Vacuum NV602UK which 199 shoppers have looked at in the last 24-hours as it's reduced to £129.

Brands are also prioritising shoppers' need for essential items - especially as post-Christmas budgets sees money run dry for many spontaneous device deals and snazzy upgrades are in less demand. So, number five on our list is Lakeland and its 50% off sale - in particular this page of heater airer offers.

Last but certainly not least is Samsung and its free Chromebook laptop offer. If you're in the market for a new mobile, we must highlight one of Samsung's latest offers on the Galaxy S24. The standout feature is the free gift shoppers can claim.

Anyone who purchases the device can claim a £300 Chromebook Go laptop for £0, but this offer expires on January 16, so you'll need to act relatively quickly. You'll need to scroll down to the 'offers' section at the end and claim via the link with your receipt.

Avid mobile fans will know that a new mobile from Samsung could be on the horizon, which is worth considering if you want the newest Samsung device - as the S24 range could soon be overshadowed by a new device - as with each new year, a new S range is expected, although it has not been confirmed yet.
