Snoop Dogg and Nelly among surprising celebrities supporting Donald Trump

2 weeks ago 6

The inauguration of Donald Trump is upon us as he returns to the White House as the president of the United States.

Whereas modern Republicans have used ‘Hollywood elite’ as an insult for A-listers with more and more celebrities backing the Democrats, a vocal minority have used their platform to throw their support behind Trump.

There’s a reason that ‘Hollywood elite’ is an insult in the vernacular of modern Republicans: Over the past couple of decades more and more celebrities have endorsed Democratic candidates.

During the November 2024 election, Kamala Harris counted on the backing of everyone from Barbara Streisand, Spike Lee, Mark Hamill, Jamie Lee Curtis, Cardi B and Charli XCX, to Lil Nas X, Kerry Washington, Mark Ruffalo, Taylor Swift, Beyonce, and Shonda Rhimes.

In contrast, Trump gathered a ragtag group of famous supporters, a mishmash of semi-famous faces and some very surprising names.

Despite appearing to be a minority in Hollywood, they threw their support behind him, with some big names set to appear at his inauguration on Monday.

Here are all the celebrities who have publicly endorsed President Trump.

Celebrities who have endorsed Donald Trump

Snoop Dogg

Snoop Dogg has faced massive backlash after performing at a party for Trump’s inauguration.

The rapper and actor, 53, was seen performing at the first ever ‘Crypto Ball’ hosted by former PayPal COO David Sacks.

Silicon valley investor and millionaire Sacks is set to step into the White House in his formal capacity as AI and Crypto Czar (a real job title) for cryptocurrency-shilling President-to-be Trump.

Last year, Snoop insisted he had ‘nothing but love and respect’ for The Donald.

Nelly

Nelly sparked controversy over his decision to perform at Trump’s inauguration today alongside the likes of Carrie Underwood, Billy Ray Cyrus, the Village People and more.

In a new interview with Geto Boys’ Willie D, Nelly has defended his decision to perform at the festivities, saying ‘the things you do’ are more important than ‘the things you say should be done’.

‘I didn’t know that I had to agree with your political choices. If you follow what I do, this shouldn’t even be an argument. He is the president. He won,’ Nelly argued.

‘I’m not doing this for money. I’m doing this because it’s an honor. I respect the office. It don’t matter who is in office.’

Carrie Underwood

Carrie Underwood will be singing America The Beautiful at Donald Trump’s inauguration on Monday.

In a statement previously shared with Metro, Carrie, 41, said: ‘I love our country and am honoured to have been asked to sing at the Inauguration and to be a small part of this historic event.

‘I am humbled to answer the call at a time when we must all come together in the spirit of unity and looking to the future.’

However, the Two Black Cadillacs singer has said in the past she is a supporter of the LGBTQ+ community, even releasing a track called Love Wins in 2018.

Carrie, who is a devout Christian, told the Independent in 2012 that she was in support of gay marriage and people’s right to love whoever they want.

Dana White

The president of Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), Dana White, threw his lot in with Trump at the RNC in Milwaukee in November.

The two have been friends since 2001.

Hulk Hogan

Wrestling icon and actor Hulk Hogan also spoke at the Republican National Convention saying: ‘What happened last week… when they took a shot at my hero… they tried to kill the greatest president of the United States. Enough was enough.’

Using his famous catchphrase, he told the crowd: ‘Well, let me tell you something, brother, Donald Trump is the toughest of them all.’

The Undertaker

Hulk Hogan wasn’t the only WWE Hall of Famer who wanted to see Trump back in the White House.

The Undertaker interviewed Trump for his Six Feet Under podcast, and told the divisive president that he’s ‘made politics fun again’.

Amber Rose

Model and rapper Amber Rose had a moment in the spotlight at the RNC, endorsing former President Trump’s candidacy.

She told the crowd that Republicans are her ‘people’ because they accept you whether you’re, ‘Black, white, gay or straight.’

Buzz Aldrin

Astronaut Buzz Aldrin, the second man to ever walk on the moon, endorsed Donald Trump for president.

Aldrin’s endorsement was motivated by Trump’s plans to continue space exploration, including the creation of the Space Force as a military branch of the U.S. armed forces.

Jason Aldean

Jason Aldean introduced Trump at a rally in Georgia at the end of October.

He said: ‘We need a future where our freedoms are protected, our economy is strong, our  children are safe, our borders are secure.’

He continued: ‘And to me that leader is none other than the 45th resident of the United States, Mr. Donald J Trump.’

Elon Musk

The billionaire founder of Tesla and owner of X has been increasingly open about his support for Trump, pouring millions of dollars into his campaign.

He said at a campaign rally: ‘This is no ordinary election.

‘The other side wants to take away your freedom of speech, they want to take away your right to bear arms, they want to take away your right to vote.’

Musk’s statement is precisely what would be fact-checked and deemed ‘lacking evidence’ on X.

Dennis Quaid

Known for movies like The Parent Trap, actor Dennis Quaid has endorsed Trump, saying at a rally in California in October: ‘It’s time to pick a side. Are we going to be a nation that stands for the constitution or for TikTok? Are we going to be a nation of law and order or wide open borders?’

Bryce Hall

Influencer Bryce Hall, who has 23.7million followers on TikTok, posted to X supporting Trump after the failed assassination attempt against the former President.

He also donated money to Trump along with other Republican candidates and organisations, according to campaign finance tracking group Open Secrets.

He posted a picture of Trump with the caption, ‘This is my president.’

Kid Rock

Kid Rock has been a longtime Trump devotee, including performing at the RNC.

He told Rolling Stone of his vocal support of the candidate: ‘When I doubled down on it, I knew that could be a career-ender.’

‘But I was betting that there were a lot of like-minded people out there … You think I like Trump because he’s a nice guy? I’m not electing the deacon of a church. That motherf***er likes to win. He likes to cheat in his f***ing golf game. I want that guy on my team.’

Roseanne Barr

During an appearance on the Real America’s Voice network, actress and comedian Roseanne Barr described Trump as: ‘A dad bear, they’ll go out and kill all the others. That’s one thing and it’s cool. But Trump wraps his arms around us.’

Barr has long supported the former President and has sparked controversy with her outspoken opinions in recent years.

Speaking on the podcast Triggered with Donald Trump Jr., Barr said: ‘Part of classism is racism, I don’t think anything is going to wake up the Jews and the Blacks who vote Democrat. They’re so severely mind controlled … I don’t think they can get it.’

50 Cent

50 Cent, who previously endorsed Trump in 2016, started trending last Saturday after Trump’s assassination attempt.

He has since put Trump’s face on the cover of his album Get Rich or Die Tryin’ at shows, leading many to believe he is once again supporting the candidate.

Kerry Katona

Former Atomic Kitten singer and reality star Kerry Katona has made it clear she’s a Trump supporter.

In her column for OK!, she said: ‘I can’t believe the Donald Trump shooting, I think it’s crazy. I know it’s controversial, but I really like him. I don’t agree with everything he says but I do like him for the most part.

‘I think he’s much better than Joe Biden – I could run America better than him,’ she continued.

Proving she was serious about her endorsement, Kerry wrote on X: ‘Hey @realDonaldTrump I’m flying over to come and give you some advice, you up for chat?’
