Too much time has passed since the previous season of Southern Charm. A lot felt unresolved between Taylor Ann Green and the other ladies. And there is a lot of anticipation of drama with the new cast, specifically, with Salley Carson.
Salley is a Southern Hospitality crossover. And she has history with Taylor’s current and past boyfriends, Gaston Rojas and Shep Rose, respectively. It’s just messy enough to expect some drama between the ladies. How familiar for Taylor.
Taylor Ann Green allegedly wanted to “focus on mending” relationships with her female costars on Season 10
Taylor dished on the dynamic between herself and the “jealous” new addition during an exclusive interview with PopCulture.
It’s worth noting that this season, Taylor wanted to focus on “mending those relationships” that were tested in Season 9 when her hook-up with Austen Kroll caused strife within the cast. Regular therapy sessions were apparently “life-changing” for the Southern Charm star.
“I was definitely nervous just because of the way that we left off last season,” Taylor dished. “I felt very secluded from the women of the group specifically. So I really wanted to focus on mending those relationships.”
As for her romantic relationship with Gaston, Taylor shared “just a tad” on camera. The couple decided to stay private.
“Just from past experiences, I find it best to keep your relationship off-camera anyways,” she explained. “This one’s a keeper, so I definitely want to make sure that we keep that safe space safe.”
But no amount of therapy could prepare Taylor for how Salley tried to “damage” (Taylor’s POV) her relationship with Gaston. Despite Taylor insisting that she “really could care less” about the newbie’s history with Shep, Gaston was another matter.
“I don’t mean this to be in a condescending way [but] I found it kind of weird or strange how [Salley] was connected to the group,”
“When you’re trying to come for my person … that doesn’t vibe with me,” Taylor shared. “I’m a very happy person and I’m in a very happy relationship. And so someone who’s trying to come in and damage that and try to play this narrative of the nice girl that’s coming in and trying to have someone’s back … I don’t know you. So when you’re coming in like this, it just seems like you’re trying to ruin something because you’re jealous of it.”
Taylor added, “It’s very interesting to watch the dynamic between people who do know him, the people who don’t know him, and then the people who kind of want to watch our relationship fizzle. The people who are trying to come in between us or try to damage that connection that we have – I find it silly and I find it funny. There seems to be a little bit of jealousy here. So I’m just going to let it slide.”
