Spencer Matthews has shocked fans by announcing that he will no longer host his and his wife Vogue's hit podcast, Spencer & Vogue.

The husband and wife duo started the podcast in August 2020 and they've had a very successful run over the past four years.

Now, the 36-year-old former Made In Chelsea star has revealed he is stepping back from the show.

Spencer announced the move on the podcast, saying that he was planning on focusing on new business ventures and breaking more world records.

Back in August, Spencer ran 30 marathons in 30 consecutive days, completely on sand, which broke a new Guinness World Record and raised more than £350,000 for charity.

This afternoon, Spencer informed podcast listeners that he had “some quite big news".

"I am moving on from this podcast," he said. "I’ve loved doing this show, I have, and we’ve enjoyed a vast amount of listeners to be honest, for the last four and half years and I’m really thankful that you guys have stuck with this show and listened to us and hopefully enjoyed it, and it’s meant a lot to us to bring you some kind of laughter and joy.”

Spencer went on to say that he will miss doing the podcast enormously, and he will miss working with Vogue. However, he assured fans that he will still appear on the show every now and again, prompting Vogue to joke that he can't "just leave and come back."

"I'm sad to see you go, obviously, but I see you all day every day anyway," she laughed, with Spencer adding his exit won't change their relationship too much.

The couple also announced Vogue's new co-host: Amber Wilson, Vogue's sister. "I will be replaced by somebody with equal, or superior charisma," Spencer said, with Vogue joking her new host is funnier and a lot more craic than Spencer.

"We both love [Amber] very much and she's an absolutely epic member of our family," Spencer added.

Vogue said that Amber has been on the show before and the listeners really loved her, so the move will be a good fit for the podcast.

“Vogue finally twisted my arm – here I am sitting in a podcast seat with her! I’m buzzing to be joining the podcast with my best friend and sister Vogue," said Amber.

"Big shoes to fill, but don’t worry, Vogue and I are coming in hot with all the fun, energy, and juicy gossip you can handle. And you’ll all finally get a chance to get to know me – the funnier sister! We’ll be giving listeners a peek behind the curtain of our family life, sisterly antics, and, Spencer, rest easy, I know exactly how to push Vogue’s buttons!”

Fans in the comments were sad to hear Spencer was leaving, but were excited to learn Amber was his replacement, with one poster saying: "Ah brilliant!! Can't wait to hear more from Amber."
