Spencer Matthews is leaving his podcast with wife Vogue Williams after four years to focus on his ‘upcoming challenge’.
Spencer, 36, and Vogue, 39 have been married since 2018 and share three children, Theodore, five, Gigi, three, baby Otto.
And their marriage lifestyle podcast – simply titled Spencer and Vogue – promises listeners an insight into their wedded lives from ‘social media, money and friends to Spencer’s obsession with Jeff Bezos’, adding there’s ‘never a dull conversation or lack of opinion’.
But as TV personality Spencer announced in the podcast’s latest episode, all of that is coming to an end.
The former Made In Chelsea star told the audience: ‘I’m moving on from this podcast to pursue other business interests and focus on my upcoming challenge.
‘I’ve loved doing this show and it would never have been as popular as it would be without the listeners.’
He shared that he’ll ‘miss the show’ enormously and ‘working with [Vogue] in this capacity’ before promising his replacement would be ‘of equal or superior charisma, much funnier [and] very happy to talk about gossip’.
The Celebrity Masterchef contestant added: ‘We both love her very much and she’s an epic member of our family and she’ll do an incredible job!’.
Vogue echoed his heartfelt words, saying she’ll ‘obviously be sad to see you go, but I see you all day everyday’.
‘I won’t miss you, because I’ll see you at home! Spencer & Vogue will continue and we will keep it in the family!’ she also confirmed, announcing her sister Amber Wilson would be taking over the spot.
As such, the show will be renamed Vogue and Amber. Amber is no stranger to appearing on podcasts with her sister.
Just last month she left an impression on viewers of Vogue’s new podcast Never Live It Down with a chaotic story about attending the wrong wake.
Responding to the news, Amber said: ‘Vogue finally twisted my arm – here I am sitting in a podcast seat with her! I’m buzzing to be joining the podcast with my best friend and sister Vogue. Big shoes to fill, but don’t worry, Vogue and I are coming in hot with all the fun, energy, and juicy gossip you can handle.
She declared herself the ‘funniest sister’ and offered a ‘peek behind the curtain of our family life and sisterly antics.’
And she seems to already be a hit, as fans shared their excitement of the news on Spencer and Vogue’s podcast Instagram account.
‘Yessssssssss I was watching this thinking “please say Amber please say Amber”,’ @susannaomiker wrote in the comments.
‘Ah brilliant!! Can’t wait to hear more from Amber,’ casa_cass_ shared.
‘Listened to never live it down with amber and you two are hilarious together,’ @nuffer09 added.
‘God I was screaming at the screen LET IT BE AMBER and HERE WE ARE BLOODY PHENOMENAL,’ @nicoled9821 said.
Spencer’s departure comes after he ran 30 marathons in 30 days in the Jordian desert in August last year – with grand plans for 2025.
At the end of last year The CleanCo co-founder announced he will be undertaking his most ‘dangerous challenge’ yet, to complete seven full Ironman Triathlons in seven continents in just a month.
This includes 3.8km swim, 180km bike ride and a full 42.2km marathon across seven continents, ending in Antarctica with plans to train for the cycling and swimming.
In his announcement video, he said: ‘This is without a doubt, the most mentally draining, physically demanding, and simply dangerous challenge I’ve ever undertaken and will push me to my breaking point.’
And to the Daily Mail added that his 30 consecutive marathons had ‘opened his eyes’ to the limits the human body could be pushed to.
‘This is without doubt ambitious – but what I have discovered is a love of pushing myself, and of achieving what would have previously been unachievable to me,’ he said.
Meanwhile Vogue, media personality behind hit podcast My Therapist Ghosted Me, has a booked and busy 2025 as she takes over from Stacey Solomon to co-host Channel 4 DIY show Renovation Rescue with Luke Mabbott.
In a press release, she said: ‘I’ve done a lot of exciting projects in my career, but I am so delighted to be given the opportunity to roll up my sleeves and get stuck into the second series of this truly brilliant show.’
Vogue and Amber will launch on January 14 on Global Player and all major podcast platforms.
