Stephen Mulhern lays in wait to scare Holly Willoughby
Stephen Mulhern patiently spent half an hour waiting to prank Dancing on Ice co-host Holly Willoughby admitting he spent the entire time questioning his choices.
Taking to X he posted a video to his 688,800 followers which was taken prior to the pair presenting the movie week edition of the reality show on Janaury 23.
Alongside it, he wrote: "I waited 30 minutes behind this door to scare @hollywills. In that time, I questioned my life choices. Then she screamed, and I knew it was all worth it! Sorry, Hol! X."
In the clip, he can be seen with his face and hands painted green as he played Elphaba to Holly's Glinda in their Wicked themed costumes for the ITV special.
Visibly giddy he hid behind a doorway waiting on her to arrive. She could be seen entering the studio, carrying a coat and dressed casually in jeans and a jumper.

As she walked down the corridor beside another team member he runs out of the room screaming at her.
Shocked she recedes back to the wall asking: "What the hell?" Meanwhile Stephen can be heard laughing at her reaction.
His fans were quick to respond to to the clip in the comments. "Haha that was so worth it. Welcome back prankster xx," one wrote.
A second sympathised: "Only you could get away with that @StephenMulhern. Poor @hollywills. I so loved your Magic the other day on This Morning Stephen you're d*** good at it."
A third chimed in: "Brilliant love a prank xx." A fourth agreed writing: "You are such a prankster. Love it xx."

"Brilliant, Stephen's back to doing what he does best! Poor Holly! X," a fifth observed. Meanwhile a sixth opined: "That was brilliant. It’s all about having a bit of fun. Keep being yourself You’re just awesome."
His prank comes as the ITV show has seen a huge dip in its viewing figures for the latest series, with the two most recent episodes (January 26 and February 2) pulling in a paltry 2.5 million viewers.
This is a far cry from its peak which saw 12 million viewers tune in to watch former HearSay singer Suzanne Shaw skate to victory in 2008.
Even by the end of the first run of the series in 2014 before it's four year hiatus until 2018 it was still drawing in seven million viewers. These latest figures mark the lowest ever viewing numbers in the show's almost 20 year history.
Dancing on Ice is on ITV1 and ITVX on Sunday nights.
