Strictly Come Dancing contestant Tasha Ghouri has revealed one small detail about her outfits on the long-running BBC show. During Thursday's instalment of This Morning, the 26-year-old spoke about her cognitive implant.
ITV star Cat Deeley inquired: "Did they bling up your implant?"
In response, she said: "Yeah! So every week I give them my skins, my cognitive implant skins. They literally have the best diamantes and they always glam it up for me!
"I think it's so lovely because I've got so many people messaging me saying, 'Because of you, I've also decorated my cognitive implant and hearing aids'.
"So, it's such a positive impact, especially with Chris (McCausland) as well, it's amazing to be a part of such an amazing cast this year, it's so diverse and inclusive, it's amazing."
Dermot O'Leary joined in the conversation, humorously suggesting she'll miss her embellished implant once she exits the competition, reports the Express.
Later in the show, she was asked about the most challenging aspect of competing due to her hearing impairment.
Tasha admitted that maintaining her energy for each dance is the toughest part. She elaborated: "The Barbie song, it was so quiet and delicate some songs are quite hard to adjust to.
"So I had to count or follow your lead and obviously, it's tiring as well. Blackpool week, for example, it was literally chaos! I just felt so overwhelmed at the end of the day, I just slept for 24 hours on Sunday. I was exhausted!"
Last weekend, viewers watched Tasha and her professional partner Aljaz Skorjanec perform a Pasa Doble at the Blackpool Tower Ballroom.
Her performance won over the judges, earning her a near-perfect score of 39.
This impressive score catapulted her to the top of the leaderboard, where she's now tied with actress Sarah Hadland, who received the same score. They are closely followed by Chris McCausland, who earned a total of 37.
Unfortunately, another contestant bid farewell to the competition as Wynne Evans became the eighth celebrity to leave the show.
After finding himself in the dance-off alongside Montell Douglas, the four judges unanimously decided to save the Gladiator star, marking the end of Wynne's time on the show.
Before his departure, Wynne shared his thoughts: "It's been wonderful, I've got to say. I feel like it's what Strictly is all about. If I can come and do Strictly and last until week nine, then anybody can get out there and dance and have a brilliant time."
"Strictly is such a brilliant family, such a precious family, that I want everybody here in this room and at home to look after it for the generations to come because it is a wonderful, wonderful thing. ".
