Fleur East has confessed to keeping her pregnancy under wraps while filming Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two, admitting she was "very naughty" for not spilling the beans. The 37-year-old, who took over hosting duties on the dance show's spin-off last year, chose to keep her bump a secret because she didn't want to be treated differently.
On Giovanna Fletcher's Happy Mum Happy Baby Podcast, the former X Factor sensation revealed getting a telling-off from show execs post-announcement. She recalled, "I didn't tell anyone at Strictly which probably wasn't the best thing. My management knew and my family knew but nobody at Strictly knew.
"After it came out, I remember speaking to the exec Alex and she said to me 'Fleur, that was very naughty of you, we could have looked after you if you told us. So, in future, I don't know if there's going to be another baby but please let us know because we like to look after you'."
In March, the singer announced the arrival of her daughter Nova, born on March 22, with an adorable Instagram post featuring photos and a video of the newborn. In 2023, Fleur, who also hosts The Hits Radio Breakfast Show, stepped into Rylan Clark's shoes as host of It Takes Two alongside Janette Manrara.
During the podcast, she divulged how she discovered her pregnancy just before landing the presenting gig and managed to keep it a secret from the show's bosses, reports Lancs Live. She revealed: "Very big suits. A lot of people started to clock on though, a few people were messaging me going 'your suits are getting really big, you must be pregnant'.

BBC)"Family members were texting my sister, bless her, 'Is Fleur pregnant?' and she didn't want to lie. I just felt very vulnerable and I think because I knew I was going to be on TV for three months while I was pregnant, and my first pregnancy, I didn't really like the idea of having all the attention on me while I was pregnant."
Fleur has enjoyed marital bliss with stylist and fashion guru Badiane-Robin since their June 2019 wedding, which boasted an idyllic Moroccan setting in the Atlas mountains. Harry Redknapp - the 2018 champion of I'm A Celebrity - and his other half Sandra, presenter AJ Odudu, and TOWIE's Vas J Morgan were among the star-studded line-up cheering the couple on.
