Strictly Come Dancing's Pete Wicks has expressed a refreshingly honest approach to parenting should he ever have children.
In light of receiving a drawing from a young fan, the TV personality humorously suggested parents should be frank with their kids about their creative endeavours, Lancs Live reports.
He uttered: "If I ever have children, I will be the sort of father that would tell them the truth." He elaborated: "So, when your child brings home a picture and everyone goes, 'Oh, that's wonderful', but really you're thinking, 'What the f**k is it? ', I will say, 'What the f**k is it? '."
He didn't shy away from criticising the fan's artwork, claiming: "The picture I got sent last night was f*****g vile," and added his take on encouraging unrealistic artistic praise, emphasising: "Let's stop enabling children to think their drawing is good because a lot of the time, they're bad, that's all."
Wicks shared these sentiments during an episode of his Staying Relevant podcast, where his dance partner, Jowita Przystał, chimed in saying the controversial drawing did indeed bring a smile to his face as jokingly hit back: "Well there's one thing wrong with it at the start."

This revelation follows the news that Maura Higgins, Pete's alleged romantic interest, disclosed she was "seeing someone" before entering the I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! jungle. While she kept names under wraps, she hinted towards their publicized meet-ups.
In a candid chat with GK Barry about her attempts to keep her love life private, she remarked: "What's the point in getting them [the media] involved too soon, when you just don't know where it's gonna go, you know? "
She also commented on a recent photo that caught them off guard: "Well we've already been papped, tongues down each other's necks and we had no idea! " She laughed off the incident, saying: "The funniest part was I had a vape in one hand and a cigarette in the other, living my best life."
Maura has admitted there's a spark between them, but they're not rushing to define their relationship.
Despite the distance between them, Pete has been publicly supportive of Maura. He encouraged his Instagram followers to support her in the jungle, posting: "I've been George of the Jungle [on Strictly] but now it's time to vote for Maura of the Jungle."
