Sutton Foster has initiated divorce proceedings from her husband, screenwriter Ted Griffin, known for writing "Ocean's Eleven." Foster has filed for an uncontested divorce in New York County Supreme Court, signaling the end of their nearly ten-year marriage.
The couple, who tied the knot in a private ceremony in Santa Barbara, California, back in October 2014, had a wedding that was partially featured on TLC's "Say Yes to the Dress," where Foster picked out her gown.
Speculation about the state of their marriage began when Foster was seen growing close to Hugh Jackman, her co-star in the Broadway revival of "The Music Man."
Insiders have hinted that the two developed a deep connection during their time on stage together, with several sources claiming that their friendship has blossomed into a romance.
Rumors about affair with Jackman
While rumors of a relationship between Foster and Jackman have been circulating since late 2023, they have reportedly kept things discreet, avoiding public appearances together.
These rumors surfaced around the time of Jackman's separation from his wife of 27 years, Deborra-Lee Furness, which was announced in September 2023.
"We have been blessed to share almost three decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage," the former couple said in a statement.
"Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth.
"Our family has been and always will be our highest priority. We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness. We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition in all of our lives."
Jackman and Furness share two children and had long been considered one of Hollywood's enduring couples.
