SZA Slams Trolls Who Say 'Weird S**t' About Her Body

SZA responded to a troll who made a nasty comment about the singer-songwriter's pre-2024 size.

On Monday (Dec. 30), the LANA vocalist interacted with a 2020 video of herself for H&M's Join the Recycling Revolution campaign on X. In the clip, the 4-time Grammy winner explained that at that point, she'd been staying at her mother's house for two months during the COVID pandemic and found her mother's old skirt that she planned to upcycle.

But the video also brought up some strong memories for SZA, who detailed that at the time, she was mentally at her lowest. "Covid was hard … my granny had just died .. I was hella depressed n masking . Not eating. Over working out," she wrote on X. "but I always had my childhood home to n get lost . Still do . Grateful to be in a much better mental space now. s/o to those days tho."

Despite the uplifting message, one troll found it appropriate to attack SZA's figure, which the artist swiftly replied to. "Yall say weird shit like this and wonder why I’m different and don’t feel comfortable w yall anymore . Lol," SZA wrote to someone who said that she "got big."

In the November issue of British Vogue, SZA shared that she was "so mad" that she'd gotten a Brazilian butt lift (or BBL) two years before. "I gained all this weight from being immobile while recovering and trying to preserve the fat. It was just so stupid," she said.

"But who gives a fuck?" SZA continued. "You got a BBL, you realize you didn’t need the shit. It doesn’t matter. I’ll do a whole bunch more shit just like it if I want to before I’m fucking dead because this body is temporary. It just wasn’t super necessary."
