Season 10 of Southern Charm is upon us, and the cast of the hit Bravo show is starting to make their promotional rounds ahead of the show’s premiere. There’s much to discuss following the events of last season, and Taylor Ann Green is at the center of it all. Now, she’s opening up about where she stands with Austen Kroll and Olivia Flowers as well as a jealous newbie.

As fans know, Taylor first appeared on Southern Charm during season seven as Shep Rose‘s girlfriend. However, she became a full-time cast member during season eight. Eventually, she caused drama in the group by kissing Austen.

Recently, Taylor sat down for an interview with US Weekly. One of the first questions the interviewer asked was if Taylor was nervous about returning to the show following a tough season nine and subsequent reunion.

Taylor responded, “I was definitely a dog with a tail between my legs. Just with everything that transpired last year, whether it was relationship, family, or personal, I was definitely a little sheepish going in.”

She then said, “But I was hopeful for some mending and just being unequivocally myself, so I think we get to see a lot of that. I’m excited for myself and some of the women to start mending those relationships again.”

When asked if part of her didn’t want to return this season, she said, “I definitely had that cross my mind. I talked to my therapist, my family, my friends, and my relationship. I was definitely worried about coming back, but I was also hoping for some redemption and for people to see a different side instead of leaving on a bad note.”

She then said that she was hopeful that Olivia would return this season, but she was not asked back.

However, Taylor then said, “I think we’re on a good turn, and she reached out. I allowed that space and time for her to reach out to me if she was ready or wanting or willing, and so she did, and I think we’re good.”

She then discussed the phone call with Olivia, saying, “We had just started filming, and she just said, ‘Hey, I’ve heard some things. I’m just checking in on you, making sure you’re doing OK.’”

“Of course [I said], ‘It’s so great to hear from you. I obviously think about you a lot. I wish you were back this season.’ It was really good to hear from her. But yeah, it was nice of her to just say that she was checking in,” Taylor added.

Taylor also gave an update on Olivia’s life: “She’s doing really well. She is engaged, and she’s got some other things going on. So I think [in] hindsight, it worked out for the best, and everything happens for a reason. It’ll be nice for her to always have that [and just say], ‘I had that experience and maybe didn’t end on the best note.’ But she’s well loved.”

The Southern Charm star also discussed where she stands with Austen. She said, “We are still friends. We don’t really owe each other anything. I don’t owe him anything. He doesn’t owe me anything. We definitely have a mutual respect for one another.”

She explained, “He is dating someone, and I’m dating someone. We’re not best friends, but I respect him and he respects me.”

Taylor also talked to PopCulture about the show. One of the first topics that came up was Taylor’s new boyfriend. She said, “It’s been a year and some change. We celebrated our one year back in September, and you get to see a little bit of it. He definitely is not wanting to be in the limelight. He’s kind of focused on his work and things of that nature. ”

She then said, “This one’s a keeper.”

Taylor also discussed some of the stress from her life and the show and how she coped with it. According to her, “After last season, I was definitely a dog with a tail between my legs going through a lot of stuff just relationally, with the show, and with my family. It was very heavy.”

She added, “I knew if I didn’t do something to change my mindset, it would be pretty detrimental. So, I started in therapy, and that’s been absolutely life-changing. I highly recommend therapy for people. I used to not believe in it, and I’m really glad that I gave it another shot.

The conversation then turned to three people in the cast who were rooting against her relationship. This is when newbie Salley Carson came up. “She might be one of those three people,” Taylor said.

Taylor added, “I don’t mean this to be in a condescending way, [but] I found it kind of weird or strange how [Salley] was connected to the group.”

Salley has a connection to Shep, and Taylor said she couldn’t care less. However, she added, “When you’re trying to come for my person … that doesn’t vibe with me.”

Regarding Salley coming against her relationship, Taylor said, “I’m a very happy person, and I’m in a very happy relationship. And so someone who’s trying to come in and damage that and try to play this narrative of the nice girl that’s coming in and trying to have someone’s back … I don’t know you. So when you’re coming in like this, it just seems like you’re trying to ruin something because you’re jealous of it.”

They also discussed Jarrett “JT” Thomas’ decision not to complete the season. When asked if she was surprised by his decision, Taylor said, “Um… a little bit, but at the same time, I think he kind of dug his own grave, and it wasn’t anything that anyone did on the cast; he kind of just did it to himself, and everybody had his back, truly.”

She continued, “He went from having one enemy, Austen, to pretty much one ally and then just having no allies.”

Taylor then said the cast wasn’t shocked by his departure and called it “more of an eye roll.”

Southern Charm season 10 premieres on Bravo on December 5 at 9 p.m. ET.
