Taylor Swift fans may have to wait a while for those “fire” Reputation (Taylor's Version) vault tracks.
According to the latest Swiftie fan theory, the pop star's next release will be none other than the re-recording of her self-titled debut album. Over on X.com, the Swiftie account @carltheswiftie_ made the claim after seeing Swift's new Bejeweled Ring, which dropped on November 13 as part of Swift's Holiday collection. “TAYLOR SWIFT TV IS NEXT CONFIRMED,” they wrote in an X.com post that has over 20,000 likes. “It's light blue then white, THEN TURQUOISE.”
Despite the X.com post, Swift's next project has not been confirmed, though the theory resonates with many of the pop star's fans. Further explained by TikTok user @aswiftiestory, one photo of the ring seems to feature colored rhinestones in the order of her album releases, from Fearless (TV) to The Tortured Poets Department. After white, the prominent color for TTPD, comes a greenish-blue stone, a color largely associated with Taylor Swift.
The same account released a second video, debunking suggestions that the ring was simply repeating the pattern from beginning, based on a bird's eye view of the ring. According to multiple users, the specific teal rhinestone is only seen once.
Reputation Mockneck Cropped Sweater
For months, Swifties have been arguing over conflicting theories about which of the final two recordings are next in line. However, this prediction comes complete with something many of the others have not: a definitive timeline. In her second video, @aswiftiestory points to another item from the holiday drop: the Self-Titled Friday Night Beneath the Stars Keychain Pouch. Apparently, we're looking at a release date on Taylor Swift's birthday, December 13, which happens to land on a Friday this year. Okay!
Do I think this theory is more plausible than any other Swiftie theory? No, but at least we'll know for sure in a month's time. In the mean time, you can browse the rest of Swift' holiday collection here. Don't worry, Reputation girlies. There's stuff for you, too.
